She fell up on the gravel road and bloodied her small knee. A trickle there and from the eyes: a sight which wounded me. Sometimes you need to make a fuss about the little things A bandaid, ointment, and a hug, and now we’re right as rain.

Words of Poetry

What is it
That I cant explain
What makes sense
When I'm insane
Flooded words in my brain
Love, hate, Words of pain

Nostradamus and Da Vinci
Said it best with
Words of poetry

I admit
Its like a hurricane
In my defense
As right as rain
How i ponder thru
A windowpane
How words of poetry
Entertain

Right As Rain

I’m feeling right as rain again,
Without those nasty kidney stones.
It’s nice to be without the pain.
I’m feeling right as rain again.
Those things were driving me insane.
Now no more crying, groans or moans.
I’m feeling right as rain again,
Without those nasty kidney stones.

*A colleague was in agony with his kidney stones, not me : )

I Saw a Merman

I saw a merman
(Dedicated to Andrea Dietrich)

                                  I saw a merman in Andrea's den
Alive and kickin' and chewin' her pen
                                    He seized on Andrea's heart
The young Merman was so smart
He said, 'a kiss I'll be as right as rain '

Real Life Repeats

Down in the dumps
Ducks drop in dams
Design the due in daily dots
Documentary life dreamt as a slept dog.

Do or die
Doesn't go down
Deplete or defunct
Dim fights betrayal in doo-wop
Dancing daily in dams
Daily bread, daily living.

Right as rain
Remembering the rainfall drops
Real green relaxes under the rules
The rule of evidenced remedies
The ribs remember the rigs
Ro-setta stone coins
Real life repeats.

Right as rain and true of heart
the first bird of the spring
this fine poet this gentle one
was made for finer things.

From rough beginnings to ends
from hardship to sorrow
her words sang out to all
her time only borrowed.

The needs of family must
come before her own need
to write, to sing, to be
before her own soul's creed.

We miss our song bird, Robin
we miss her words her heart
pray she'll come back to us
to Poetry where she started.

Trying To Get Ahead In the Clouds

How are you, are you under the weather?
I hope no one has stolen your thunder
Don't face the day with a white feather
Don't let this life rip you asunder

Come rain or shine, it'll be a breeze
Cloud nine always has a silver lining
Life can be harder than math in Chinese
While the stars take their time aligning

Take a breath, throw caution to the wind
And soon you'll be right as rain
This storm in a teacup will quickly end
It's just a gust and not a hurricane

Premium Member Some Say

Some say the most honorable thing one can do,
Is to lay down one's life,
for a friend.
That is only a blip on the timeline of eternity.
I would say,
the greater gift,
is to give a friend's spirit,
a much needed lift.
To finally walk hand in hand,
anywhere in this great land,
surely will strike up a band.
Then music the balm for loneliness,
sorrow, and hopelessness,
will be played all night,
making the gift right as rain.
Given to relieve the accumulated,
 and deepest pain.
