The same breaths
flowing
from our mouths
requesting supports
to live,
governing bodies offer
to make disappear,
as mists vanishing
into the night.

Paid In Full

Requesting
forgiveness
from the dead
My will
crossing over
no longer misled
Requesting
forgiveness
my debt was set free
Destiny
reckoned
—atonement complete

Please Have a Care

I really don’t mind
If, a weakness, you find,
Or a doubly distant
And breakable thought
Against your insistent
Requesting is wrought.
It doesn’t much hurt
If you choose to leave first
But please have a care for my heart.

Evening Empire

Created for solitude and sleep, A time for God’s perfect healing No time for us to moan nor weep… To Him, you hand your very heart. Requesting another day of living, And from this earth, to not depart… 2/2/2023

Supply and Demand

                            supply
                  ample, abundant
     issuing, procuring, replenishing
surplus, provision, necessity, upsurge
     requesting, expecting, satisfying
                   desired, requisite

Music of Poetry

redolent flower brushed in light of white rosebud tears on soft petals with sips of champagne she spoons down the poem in bits and pieces leaving something of herself unfettered between the lines requesting a song blending in with sounds of night sonata drifting

Protection

Requesting and needing one more chance
Protection prances forward the last time
Bloody hands, slime, they go with it all
And into it I shall fall, holy rapture wrapped
Prayer is my shield and my lance
Amethyst tears rain from storm soaked eyes
Darling love, it is okay heaven sometimes sighs
Breathe.

I Call It Manning-Up

I Call It Manning-Up Written: by Tom Wright 2/5/2014 If you’ve something to allege, Please search for my face. Don’t mouth to some other, At some distant time or place; For you owe it to others, To be as forthright as can be; While requesting that others, Be doing likewise to thee.

When the Darkness

WHEN THE DARKNESS

(Dedicated to all those in need)

When the darkness envelops our soul in desperation
And fear the permanent resident of our heart does become
To heavens must we turn our pleading eyes for inspiration
Requesting from our SAVIOR, something for that to be done!

Mother

Mother

Molded from the best God has for humanity,
Offering your time, your love, even your sanity.
Trusting in Him to keep us safe from the unkown,
Honoring God with your life and love you have shown.
Enhancing my life with all the prayers offered up,
Requesting nothing in return for filling up my cup.

Special Sea and Anchor Detail

He sits quietly on a cargo hatch,
Patiently watching deck apes
Secure rat guards to hawsers.
They make his job a little easier.
There’s no requesting liberty.
Not even the thought of it.
The Bos’n won’t approve.
It’s been entered in the deck log,
He’s a ship’s cat.
He's always on the watch list.
He never goes ashore.

What's the Big Idea

"What's the big idea?" Lyric Man said. Well, for me, there's not one in my head! If I had one, my dear, it would surely appear in my very own contest instead!
My reply to the challenge issued by Lyric Man in a recent blog, requesting a big idea for a contest! Sure wish I had one for ya, Dave!!!

Island Breeze

Requesting to lean
Towards the travels I have seen
Long journey to spread
Love promised ahead
Distant future
I now capture
Stepping to my minds edge
My second skin has been shed
We must live with all our heart
From the very start
As the streets dim
I am no longer silent within
Allowing me to lead
Towards my island breeze

Saying Grace

The prairie says grace, Before receiving the rain. In a time of drought. · The parched land laments, Requesting in desperate pleas: For the clouds to cry. · Then a drop of hope, Moistens dry, cracked, lips of dirt: Quenching thirstiness. · The land in prayer, Resembling God’s praying hands: Praising the heavens.

The Alabaster Ball

THE ALABASTER BALL

Earth sent invitations
To a danse one night
Requesting all invited
Please – to come in white.

The glass-coached clouds assembled
And the Ebon Sky
Banked its brightest fire,
Snuffed each candled eye.

Then the Winds belled music
Set a whirling pace
And down the Heavens
Waltzed the Snows,
In their finest lace.

Immigration and Naturalization

As I struggle memorizing the rights or freedom

I found

The right of freedom of speech, press, religion, peaceable assembly and requesting change of government

The right to bear arms (the right to own a gun though subject to certain regulations

The right to trial by jury in most cases

The people have rights other than those mentioned in the Constitution

Level Best

I promise myself
shall try to read level best
                                            I missed earlier

                                          all poets' treasure
                                    storing building day by day
                                         God's blessing upon

Tests Are No Light Winnings

Tests arrest students' rest:
Requesting the best their stomachs digest;
To see the ones that would be oppressed,
And the ones that would repossessed...
Providing solutions to teacher's quests,
From the simple twists to them he ingested--
That with pen, he will have marks attest:
Either make cane's justice get them swiftly arrested
Or make praise reinforces their progress assessed.

Jars Filled With Brains

The cryogenic lab held many a jar
And Walt Disney’s brain I could see from afar

Perpetually frozen to see a new age
With some I tried conversation to engage

But the brains had no mouths with which to speak
No ears either to hear me give a shriek

The site before me seemed so very bizarre
I made my living will, requesting “no jar”

Freedom

Invisible walls with powerful claws,
Limited chances, avoiding falls.
Browse the news create the blues,
Raise the spirits indulge in booze.
Disco lights blinding sight,
Stars above connect at night.

 Shallow voices destroy our dreams,
Follow the road to make believe.
Requesting answers feel the force,
Lot of power commanding source,
Open your eyes until you see,
See the truth set you free.

Testing, Testing

Quiet please there is a test in progress.
Not the one on paper where you fill in the little circles.
Not the kind where a subject is requesting dates and times of a country.

Testing,Testing

Quiet please there is a test in progress.
Quivering and quaking within my chair.
Testing gives me alway a big scare.
Am I going to pass or fail with fright in my mind.

Testing, Testing

It is all within a mind.

The Most Fortunate One

Like a child he approaches his Miss,
Requesting her to give him a sweet kiss.
Making sure that there is no one around,
She gives him one, making no sound.
Like an angel, her love on him she showers,
With a tight hug, using all her powers.
He feels as if a great battle he has won,
And regards himself as the most fortunate one.
