No Second Chances
We could ride the storm
Get banged, bruised and survive
But we may never get a second chance
To rectify damages we've cause through
Trickery and lies...

King
I do not know
When I will see you next
I have a lot to atone for
But I am genuinely sorry
For the shame I have caused
Which will not rectify anything
Even though I never asked to be King....

Ever higher the green grass grows
But it’s too hot to rectify.
Stay in the shade or burn your nose

Holy Words
Snuggled deep to set the tone,
my strength and pause will paint the picture,
amid my words the heart will roam,
like aimless Gods inside her scripture.

The words are mine to signify,
her loss,her love,her silent hope,
and in them may she rectify.
the letters in her passions scope....

The City Editor
The City Editor

Each morning,
he sits at his desk,
lights a cigar,
starts looking around

like a bear on a waterfall
looking for salmon. He growls
for raw copy, anything typed,
anything with errors in it.

Each day he comes to the office
honed to rectify wrongs.
Suffer the little stories
to come unto him.

Logic
Whenever you feel life has not gone the way you would like.

What should you do to rectify the path?

Do you work a little harder to forge the way?

Save your troubles to think about another day?

When your head is clear and the weariness subsided?

Heart on cuff - head in gear, logic and clear!

Sleep,

No tear,

No tear,

No tear....

Tidal surge
Global warming
Sea's rising
Nature's warning

Do we ignore
Or do we react
Do we debate
Or ignore the fact's

Around the table
All countries should meet
To discuss our future
Before our lands retreat

There are many ways
To rectify
Nature's vengeance
But we have to comply?

Premium Member Tomorrow
If we might have a second chance
to live the day's once more,
and rectify mistakes we've made
to even up the score.

If we might have a second chance
to use the knowledge gained'
Perhaps we might become at last
As fine as GOD ordained.

But though we can't retrace our steps,
However stands the score
Tomorrow brings another chance
For us to try once more....

The Door Is Wide Open
Let me apologise for I can no longer disguise the truth,
for within the spirit of Jesus Christ my soul has been seduced.
So now I long to make amends and end the error of my ways for I have found faith in Jesus Christ and need to begin to repay for these my many sins.
Let me begin to rectify and demonstrate my trust and to share my spiritual being and to share my eternal love....

Vent
I can’t breathe
What kind of nightmare is this-
Open wound bleeding-
It’s real
Destiny’s cruel joke.
Supposed to be
Attempting to rectify
And testify –
Life is one giant Ferris wheel
One step away from disaster
Just when you think calm after the storm-
You’re hit with the news
And subtly choose-
How to master pain and rise above the truth-
But there’s nothing you can do...

Spirits Speak
To those of us who believe
We recognize things like these.
Quiet tributes rectify
Unerringly unify.

Passed-on loved one happily
Communicates airily.
You may ignore, they insist;
Deny this faith? It persists.

Fact or fiction to you
Matters not
It's written now, it's cool.
This is hot.

Emotions spent
There are times when
Voices are meant
To say, “Amen!”...

With Days
WITH DAYS.

With days long gone
But venom still strong
As if core of universe
Conspiring against itself
Ensouled grief all along.

Tell me tales not of demise
Ended in clay the beauteous forms
As if had annulled everything anew
Scenes of wrath into teared storms.

Let us go past dreaded dreams
With outrage to devise anew
Life’s stumbling gait to rectify
Flying across saline streams....

Mother Is Love
She rises from the love, and the love rises from her.
She became a moon for all the stars in the sky and the plants beneath.
She continues to mould things and rectify them.
When people have doubts about you, she is the
only person who is not to.
She bears the pain without tears.
She lives long after crossing the deathly fear.
She is maa, mom, mummy, and mother.
She is another face of Ishwar....

A Zillion Zucchini
I am ztuck with a huge zucchini glut
An overwhelming zight
To try and rectify the zituation
I am cooking day and night

Zautéed, grilled with cheeze
A rather deliciouz chocolate cake
Znuck into zalads, ztuffed or fried
Appearing fazter than I can bake

To avoid any kind of wazte
I've tried giving the extraz away
I'm over the mazzive zucchini zupply

Honourable Cat
Honourable Cat
Bemused that
For what it’s worth
On this earth
Man has the role
Of world control
Thinks it’s at best
A cynical jest
For only a fool
Lets monkeys rule

Honourable Cat endures the shame
Knowing it for a cruel game

A twist of fate
Not too late
To rectify
By and by
When man shall fall
Cats take all
Then all be fine
With a world feline
And Honourable cat as planned
Sits at Deity’s right hand....

Nevermore
And you can't rectify
What you've left to die
As I have been
And you will be, too
And you can't prove
That I'm no different
When his lips stained your soul
Creating a hole
Just how you left one in me, too
And nothing's gonna change
The mess we made
The tears or the shame
And nothing's going to wipe away
Disdain
The pain
Or fatal blows to my name
I was no martyr,
I was only yours
But it's such a shame
That you won't have me anymore...

Premium Member Our Words Are a Testament of Who We Are
Our Words Are a Testament Of Who We Are Written: by Tom Wright 7/2/2018 The words we voice tell others who we are, Dishing hurt for hurt just isn’t God’s way. But man Oft desires the parting au revoir, Then upon reflection, morals make him pay. Each uttered word God instantly appraises, But previously spoken words we can rectify. We use subtle words camouflaged as praises, Then, in our garden of pretend, question why?

Coffee Creamer
I awoke in a fright
From my sleep last night
It must have been a bad dream
Could we possibly be out of coffee cream

Oh no, say it ain't so
But it appears as though
My wife went to Walmart
and had a big brain fart

Please rectify this my dear
I want coffee creamer, not beer
My coffee is bad
without adding a tad

Please bring creamer for the refrigerator
and I will see you a bit later
Drive safely my dear
and don't hit a deer in the rear....
