Picking At My Head
Picking at my head
I rack my brain for
An excuse to hate you
And one glares at me
But it is not enough
You did what your heart told you
If I loathed you for that
I would be detesting myself
Only months ago...

Keys down drain
Tried in vain
To obtain
Still remain
Rack one's brain.

Sight review
Don't pursue
Sank in goo
Then I knew
Order new.

Writer's Block
Writer's Block

I have writers block right now, hate this feeling.....

I have an idea in my head, but, the words escape me....

I rack my brain, trying to think, and, think....

But, the harder I try, the worse it gets....

Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.......

menses contordes birds,
flayer in the narrow tunnels,
keyboards deads, glass, silicat, wires..,
bent the time, memory to rack one`s brain ,
himself and her ,
to penetrate end beaten the face inclined,
easy, easy in the time speed,
the time, winning, crushed, staring..,

Head Stone
Weeping Willow weeps, streams capturing the souls of life. Raw, dark, lonely, no escape, deer visit mostly. People stop by all the time, bearing flowers to give out.
Crying sadness, yearning for understanding. Rack your brain for a reason. All that sits there now, is a headstone on the ground, with memories all around.

Schizophrenia Never Ending Voices
No one knows what it’s like
To be trapped inside your mind
To question all of your thoughts
To wish that you were blind
This illness is a real thing
It wasn’t just made up
Every word is a sting
They always come for me
These voices rack my brain
My thoughts aren’t on the train
I want them to stop but they won’t
They are supposed to stop but they don’t
Schizophrenia is a curse
Nothing else could be worse...

Not Alone
I know your sad , I know your alone...
I rack my brain to change your tone...
I guess I'll pull up a chair next to your soul...
My page will start off blank till this poem is told...
I will dip my pen in the warmth of your heart...
Then dot the verses with a darker shade that's apart...
When all is complete and the form is intact...
My voice will echo through where a smile has lacked...

Ever-Buck-Passing Websites
You press the keys time and again
And errors bog you with flat disdain
In vain you try and rack your brain
To figure what has derailed the train

The website is but a tangled web
That sinks your spirits to a new ebb
Supposedly a tool to expedite work
Actually a means to shut your neb

On its homepage, the motto to dangle
Must be YOUR NEEVES WE JAR AND JANGLE
AS EXPLETIVES POUR OUT OF YOUR MOUTH
YOUR PEACE OF MIND WE LOVE TO MANGLE...

I wish I knew the reason why
An X, L, V and I, I, I
Is how one can identify
Which Super Bowl this is.

Though Roman numerals I hate,
Without them, one could not equate
Those letters with game 48 -
It’s almost like a quiz.

I wonder who decided that
The Roman way is where it’s at;
It had to be a bureaucrat
Or mathematics whiz.

So every year I rack my brain
In hopes that yes, I did retain
Those skills to let me ascertain
Which Super Sunday ‘tis....

Sequestered Thoughts Written: By Tom Wright 8-10-2019 I sequestered some thoughts today at dawning, Other days I’ve allowed these thoughts free reign. But today, I’ve a tendency, to sit here yawning, Nothing worthy escapes though I rack my brain. Perhaps its a temporary psychological block, Because the hour of night, has now grown pale. Or the interrupting chime of our grandfather clock, But most likely, It’s just that my thoughts are stale.

Inspiration
I am sitting at my desk
Looking for a bright idea.
I look at the empty paper
Waiting for a poem for the galleria.

I waited for the right time
When I was in the mood to write.
But now I wait for inspiration
To let my imagination take a flight.

I mess my hair frustrated
As I rack my brain for inspiration.
I think back on the words of poets
Then I hit a realization.

Everyone has always said
Inspiration is all around.
What your surroundings offer
Will leave you astound....
