This Picture

the night sits
depleted,
forlorn of a light
deleted
from sight. touch
this darkness,
this lack of conscience
[slithering through
broken hands]
for how much our breath
demands,
corrosive words lash
out, rush forward
asserting their
shout.

Premium Member Moral Contemplations

Must we honor the promises we make in dreams?
The same moral aspects would pertain, it seems,
and fate would (if the rules of justice still apply),
a dream's blissful amorous rendezvous, deny.
Must I live my waking life bound by dream pledges?
It's too much to trim Scarlett Johannson's hedges.

Premium Member People Who Make Meetings Last

I am intolerant of people who make a meeting last two extra hours.
Asking inane questions that pertain to only them.
And of the leaders of the meeting who allow them to take over.
Commandeering the rest of us.
Some think I am rude when I leave at the scheduled time.
Half of the other participants follow me out.

Rain

The dance of the rain.

Curated and mesmerized.

The rhythm to pertain.

With comfort mistified.

The performance is great.

Splendid beauty with grace.

The ethos to showcase.

Different forms it plays.

Rain contributes to nature.

Grand memorable structure.

The harmony of recreation.

For never-ending the tradition.

Namer

A tear on your cheeks that meets your lips,
A soft plight on sight, that seeks your taste,
Dance of your name on my bare tongue,
Wants me turn bare, into sweet summer love,
I know only your name,
And I dance on it,
My each cell sparks at your only name,
In my whole being, I, pertain to be yours,
No name to me, only yours, only yours.

Again

Love your chance worth, but pertain
life's vision keeps the soul's arraign
not if occlusion were maintain,
thus love itself the whole remain ~

It is the ideal, is as sane
to love, to love and then explain,
it is the purpose, is the main
condition that all life sustain ~

And all else fitting, seems the pain
it is for love . . . I live again!

Pidgeon Tattooed With Much Food

a steady pidgeon
for him will provide much food
with white is tattooed

tried to save my skin
to find would go on a spin
found world full of sin

paper does pertain
readers who remain in rain
have become insane

went to news auction
came up with concoction
had used much caution

know an editor
performs as news predator
well known creditor

A Perfect World

If only for a little while
A perfect world you seek
Sit on down and contemplate
The very words you read

Read each line with open ears
Listen as I preach
For they pertain to you these lines
So take with you and keep

The only other perfect world
That you may seek and find
Is the world that's shared between two hearts
And those are yours and mine

Tears Too Bold

I cannot help but marvel
At the strength this small boy knows
In the crevices of his safest place
A heavy evil grows
At black when babe doth close his eyes
To what does his grimace pertain?
When other boys drift off to sleep
Does he cry awake in pain?
Dreams call out in sweet and soft
But dark hands tighten their hold
Refreshing reminders on frail dear's arms
And once more; wet tears too bold.

Why Me

Dilemma and dire,
When you go through this satire,
Don't you look up and ask,
Why me and how long will this last!
The fathom of the moment,
The girth of your spirit,
The length of your ambition,
The agony you live in.
All hold your hands,
And twist your instincts.
You persist and pertain to prevail,
And remain mystified till the end.
Nothing is unachievable,
Until you prepare to feel the same.

Premium Member The Underdog

Insecure bullies seek their prey
Prepared for attack
Finding a vulnerable target
To fulfil the worth that they lack

Their victims are not the weak
They are the kind, gentle or unsure
They don’t possess meanness
That is the bullies irresistible lure

Victims are often described as the Underdog
I believe this term does not pertain
The only dog between a bully and their victim
Is the one that is entirely to blame …..

A B C's of Being

The greatness of man
Is in the way he perceives
There are many happenings
Some pertain to color
Some to challenge personal stands them self
Going back to what makes a man
Is a woman in childhood rearing
Clear percussion answers
Correct timing
Brow beating shunned
Showing importance for small conversation
Instilling feeling for feeling
Teaching what best is
The whys of not
Meeting the occasion
It's alright
To fail

You Belong To Me

how can you be furthered with my understanding, without reading the words that i say,
remembrance and knowledge are a given to you every time you read and pray,
i mark my words down in your heart, they pertain to what you do,
the pain is erased with every trial you face, or every struggle you go through,
it will keep you steady and solid, balanced in love and standing,
my love will give u soundness of mind, with me there's no misunderstanding.

Anguish Most Dutiful - 'Reading At a Fueral'

The echo of the organs pipes, the absence of a breeze, The warm and dusty air, filling lungs still mired by grief. With a hundred looks of pity, and an air of sad unease, I stay staring at the hull-shaped roof, breathe deep, and start to speak. One set of dry eyes in the room; to which my sorrow does pertain, “Too soon, too soon, too soon…” I think, but composure must be maintained Until it can’t be any more.

Prejudice

Beautiful ponder how you meander
in all constraints of unmeasurable tender
you are mine.
And I shall keep you close.

Panjandrum is not your domain
so bear no false witness my friend
for I know thee well my perpetual self.
Misunderstood as you are,
in love we shall pertain.
And I shall keep you close.

Make no sacrifice to past missed
nor give offering from here to eternity
for you owe nothing to the disdain of prejudice.
Only beauty will keep you.
And I shall keep you close.
