A Diamond Life

There are times in our lives

That hurt beyond belief,

Broken hearted, how to cope

With pain, and bitter grief.

For the joy of existence

We always pay a price,

Yet we would pay with diamonds,

For this precious thing, called life.

Maybe

Is this true love

is she the one

i pick off these petals

from a flower as beautiful as her

asking myself a question

does she love me

or does she not

it was love at first sight

but will i pay a price

is she to perfect to be true

maybe, maybe not

with time will know

if our love will grow

and i will stay with her to the end and after

Wounded

The Wounded Solider, his heart is heavy. He left his home, and everything he was taught not to do he's done. He's needs are help in so many ways He's are Sons are Daughters we have to reach with hands of God they been though Hell There minds are tormented.but are they really free,it's up to us to talk to them they fought for freedom and pay a price .they need the care to almost set them free.it's up to us to see.

Finding Clam For Sustenance

My feet touches the bottom land
As my feeling start to quiver damn
Scratching those toes on silty sand
In the hope I can find a clam.

Fortune pay a price in waiting
Inch by inch I'm starting to find
Boulders of clam in seabed setting
Excitement painting my mind.

Labor showing enthusiasm I confess
A hungry belly want to cook an obsess
All in all a happy one sack we possess
A laborious day harvest of clam a success.

Premium Member Last Thoughts of Joy and Grace

Last thoughts of anyone we cannot know
unless they voice those thoughts, which would be nice -
to hear their love expressed as they let go . . .
Unfortunate are those who pay a price
for years misspent! Regret they surely feel
to see no loved ones gathered round their bed.
Imagine letting go - heart filled with zeal
because it was a decent life you led!
I think last thoughts can be of joy and grace,
for some pass on with a smile on their face!

Premium Member -Insincerity

I always try to think the best of people
Believe their intentions are genuine and true
Though today I’m questioning sincerity
Are hidden agendas behind what they say and do?

I am of a gullible nature ,soft hearted as well
Easily drawn in by friendly and nice
Never contemplating an insincere reason
Or that I would have to pay a price!

I get terribly disappointed in mankind
When insincerity slaps me in the face
By inauthentic ,selfish humans
“Who wound” leaving no visible trace!

Premium Member Sweet Things

Many are the sweet things in life
most though do come with a sting
sugar cane so sweet and lovely
yet it will slice you wide open

The bitter sweetness of young love
that often breaks some hearts
Birth of your first child so sweet
yet their cuts and scraps hurt you

The sweetest attar of roses
a tear shred from its thorns
that wickedly draws blood
as you pluck it from the bush

It seems that for all sweet
for each you must pay a price
a reminder that sweet things sting
in ways you do not expect
