Insincerity

I always try to think the best of people Believe their intentions are genuine and true Though today I’m questioning sincerity Are hidden agendas behind what they say and do? I am of a gullible nature ,soft hearted as well Easily drawn in by friendly and nice Never contemplating an insincere reason Or that I would have to pay a price! I get terribly disappointed in mankind When insincerity slaps me in the face By inauthentic ,selfish humans “Who wound” leaving no visible trace!
