Lost In Humanity
Aggressive, befitting candor,
defies empathetic fervor.
Grave honesty is just,
kindness literally must not.
Omen partakes queer retribution,
savoring tantamount usurpation.
Vulgar words expound,
yields to zero...

Hiding Inside
Most of our lives are spent
icing the cake

Covering the substance
where meaning partakes

To coat and embellish
what we most try to hide

Distracting, misleading
—shrouded inside

(Dreamsleep: July, 2019)...

Summer Day
The day does start
When the sun awakes
No clouds in sight
 But the wind partakes.

The breeze is warm
And the leaves will dance
The sky above
Leaves you in a trance.

Flowers in bloom
The buzzing is near
New life begins
For summer is here....

there is no path
what is, is a fusion
of energy bandwidths
both invisible and manifest
wherein as both part and whole
presence partakes of elixir offered
feeling the contrast of both pain and joy
nonchalant in the vibrant void of no-thingness

Poetry Soup

It’s a bit like stone soup
Remember? that old
story of famine
where everyone brings
a parcel of whatever they have
and throws it in.

PoetrySoup offers a banquet
for every taste.

Each contributor partakes
each taste is unique
yet all are fed.
No one leaves hungry....

Losing Love
All bundled up
And locked inside
As fear kicks in
To join the ride

As I'm alone
I curse this dream
It locks me up
Laughs at my screams

I live in fear
And dread the night
When all i see
Black in my sight

In the abyss
Something that's seen
As fear partakes
It glares at me

My life gone mad
When i realized
There is no love
In my lovers eyes...

Modern Queen
She sat by the window with her silver crown
And gazed outside at what was around
A bird at the feeder, a squirrel in a tree
A car driving by, another, now three
She sat and gazed as the hours passed by
For this queen didn't worry about time
In life's simple pleasures, she now partakes
From watching the birds, to eating some cake
The minutes pass by, she cherishes each
As ninety-five years is no simple feat
Her days are now filled enjoying the sun
Broken only by the nurses med runs...
