Blind Reaction

Paroxysm of the pupil
   Blind eye opens to dawn
Brightness quadruples
   Crimson-tangerine brawn

The Moment of Truth

seraphs, in eager anticipation,
collectively hold their breath
           for the m o m e n t of truth...
shy young love, they root for
at last, their virgin k i s s;
            a paroxysm of cheers erupt.

Outburst

Her anguish blasted... It was a Wild paroxysm! The tempest ends... Relief quickly follows. Exhausted. Calm. Now, she sleeps. Written 17th October 2021 For the Lune (mixed pair) Poetry Contest Sponsor: William Kekaula

Paroxysm

As twilight turns to dawn, something brings to memory

Of lovers’ laughter, hate, and banter out of spree

Like daylight, warm are the smiles and colorful as a prism

And as moonlight taints their skin, bodies go feverish in paroxysm

But they are now just in dreams, only in dreams

Waiting

WAITING

From here my roost is not far
Only fogged. Yet paved with tar.
I am that teetered beast
Loose me , Awaiting me is a feast.
I hear that drum of my hide rumble,
And the flute of my bones waft
Tunes not humble,
That tune of my beginning
soporific yet ecstatic in singing
Sheer paroxysm!!!!
I am that carnivore,
This forage starves me…
Unbind me, see home awaits my return.
I’m through with my first death.
My second birth is close..
