Loyalties Curse
A safe lie to make,
   outweighed T-Bone stake.
A fassad way to fake,
not for Heavens but your sake.
Concrete ankle drowned bottom lake,
no more time to never awake.
Live nightmared body shake,
   blind eyes glossed opaque.
Ice cream flavored frozen cake,
   ungiven life chose to take.
Now you gotta live with that mistake,
if I die before I wake......

By Your Side
By Your Side

Life sucks
It's true
What can
you do
But hope
Tommorow
Finds a way
To drown your sorrow
Who has
It made
Good times
Outweighed
My dreams
To rest laid
As memories
As they start to fade
When will
Sun beams
Mend my
Torn seams
Line my
Black cloud
So I
So I might start to feel proud
Life sucks
I tried
So hard
Hope died
Loves gone
And I'd
I'd only like to be by your side

Premium Member Focus
I feel ready to explode
Compressed and about to lose control
Stressed over every little thing
Moments of sunfilled peacefulness
Outweighed by longer bouts of cloudiness
Feeling the stress
Of not having my life together
And I’m lonely
I need someone to care about
Someone to build a life with
Someone who won’t want
To disappoint me
That’s my real long-term goal
And if I kept that focus
I’d be fine

The young go-getter reached the ladder’s top rung
by making work his foremost purpose in life.
Lengthy absences from wife and children stung,
but wealth he provided outweighed any strife,
so he thought. To his work-first ethic he clung
till poor health and retirement cut like a knife.
Loved ones’ aloofness cuts deeper. He has found
the saying’s true: What goes around comes around.

Being Thankful
Being Thankful
Recalling times when I knew youth
my prejudice was so uncouth
I’m thankful that I aged enough
as love outweighed that bitter stuff

when needed most I had accrued
a fortune to secure my life
but most of all I’m thankful for
to love and treat my ailing wife

To mentor souls that they may know
that God has intervened to show
his blessing and his gift to host
to aid me when it counts the most
