World is fair as is
Had tears not been there
Man might not be half as good,
Nor one-fourth as fair.

If pain nowhere there,
Joys would never be as should
Most might melt in air,

Or be half valued,
Being so painless and rare,
Never feel as good.

Undeserved, unfair
If one gets all he wants, would
