Torn pieces of herself
languish
in her own self-imposed 
purgatory

joyless, she sees nothing
of her former light.

In greyscale, her 
essence

waits in anguish for
the return of self....

And powdered coffee slaking my communion thirst.

Montana windswept plains outside.
Stark desolation’s existential rites within.
But earth I’ve trekked since then rolls wide:
And prayer, not newsprint, now assuages sin....

settle
into

revelry,
by the glass of a
morning sea
reflecting a morning
sky.

Someone’s tune
dances
a polka
stepping across the
bay – and
everything
is
coming
up
music
this year....

Clutter from our passions
