Tree Frog's long silence
Thunder, lightening, pouring cool rain...
Tree Frog's voices sing
Free Verse:
Gloriously big pecan tree yields,
Nuts keep falling like soft cool rain.
Mother Nature provides for her own.
Haiku of this poem
Big pecan tree yields,
Nuts falling like soft cool rain.
Mother Nature's prize

Tiny winged creatures
flit from tree to tree
perch on tree branches
preening breast feathers
wee plump bodies
Fee fee-fee fee
delicate songs
bird orchestra
they serenade
Feathered friends
entertain,
we listen
Fee fee
sweet song

The willow tree
the willow, the willow, the wisest tree there is
so beautiful with such a story to be told
whether old or in youth
the willows always speak the truth.
With their dangling branches and vines
it's no wonder they are fine
the willow, the willow,
the wisest tree there is.

Form:
The sidewalk ends into a ditch
From that ditch there grows a tree
The tree grows to its peak
From the peak of the tree
There is a nest
A bird’s nest
In the nest there are some eggs
Robin eggs
They hatch and out come baby Robbins
Mama bird feeds them worms
They learn to fly
They go to find their own tree to nest

Form:
I'll be a monkey's knuckle,
Then maybe he'll be my uncle.
His aunt ate lice, ain't that nice!
I'll be the tallest tree I can find.
I'll be shade for those, be kind.
I'll be a lemon bush, crush
My tomatoes, don't you rush!
Slowly simmer me into sauce.
I'll be supper, you be the boss.
Then bossy I will be, in my tree -
Playing with my knuckled monkey.
To be a tree you need carbon.
Trees depend on God.
Trees depend on humans.
Trees depend on the Sun.
Trees need this care.
Carbon is life to a tree.
Without Carbon there would be no tree.
God set it up this way, you see.
For the tree depends on you and me.
We must consume to save a tree.
If we don't consume, the trees will die,
then we will all want to cry.
So just do your role;Keep burning your safe coal!

Along this path,
I walk, as I spy
by the pond,
red thorns growing,
from the tree trunk,
of this dignified tree.
All the way to
the tip top I see,
them on this,
enchanting tree,
such a marvel,
I behold,
of this bewitching,
tree so rare,
indeed,
even thorns,
on the branches,
such a awesome,
thing of nature,
placed here at
Lowell ponds.
