Seasons

Old Summer sags, and whispers, "Las".
I see her breathe in the slowing grass.
Stirs the Autumn her skirts of fire;
Winter's hands reach, freeze desire.
Spring swings 'round with radiant face,
Young Summer catches, passions brace!

Indian Summer In the Desert

Summer Sun's heat waves good bye, cool breeze sweeps the desert floor
Geronimo's spirit sits by the autumn campfire
A lone coyote howls at the desert's Indian Summer Moon

Autumn

It’s back to school time
Fresh from a summer of fun and laughter
Suppressed excitement – meeting the friends
Exchanging and embracing new challenges
While autumn leaves turn golden red and fall
On summer nourished grass and dance
Wind gently making ballet of the shapes
You breathe in and absorb the essence of all this
Half sad that summer’s gone and winter beckons

Premium Member Fall Comes Softly

She came to the ball in splendid fashion Her entry slow and sure, full of graces Her perfume spoke of the smells of fall and her sweet breath soft on summer faces.... Taking summer by it's trembling hand They waltzed together across the fields Knowing they would meet again next year And celebrate in glory when summer yields.... For the Fall contest

.

                                                 Summer sunset yawns
                                         Stretching its arms across lawn
                                                  Paints the sky unique
                                         Sleepily birds seek their homes
                                     Whip-Poor-Will sings loves pure song
