Bottomless Depth
From the dark depth of the ocean
and the harrowing pit of the abyss
to the blazing nadir of hell,
Nothing is deeper than
the deadening pain of a broken heart....

Digging Deep
From the dark depth of the ocean
To the harrowing pit of the abyss
Or the fiery scorching nadir of hell,
Nothing is deeper than
the numbing pain of a broken heart.

Premium Member Little Poem Series: Persistence of Memory
Tirelessly inevitable.
Age has an implosive nadir.
The surprise creaks of pain
like a sudden realization,
inextricably perceptible.
         Leaden mirrors.
               Dust follicles.
                      Mirages.
Undyingly entropic....

Untold Hardships
UNTOLD HARDSHIPS

Waging no war against atrocities,
Opulent lessin offering any resistance to social evils,
Marring herself by subduing to wicked hands,
Aura of venom often dowans on her to make her spiritless
Nadir is her social strata in her living milieu!!...

Premium Member Hope's Lights
Hope's lights dim in November
  barely flicker in December
They reach their nadir just before
the onset of harsh winds' roar --

When two festivals of light appear
to melt the drops of frozen tears
Be Chanukah or Christmas your cup of tea
  Season's greetings, joy and glee...

The Matriarch
The Matriarch

crying out beneath the earth
the cemetery seed
which dies before it has its birth
in a hail storm of need
leader of the fallen child
in nadir of man's greed
treasure in the vultures mouth
circling to feed
everything I have you left
it's value does exceed
the taxable trinkets of a life
that made the hearts of blind men bleed

Nadir
Tabled all my thoughts to keep them empty
Walked alone to make the voices die
Never thought pebbles would make waves that crested over all the sunlight
and brought my hopes down with the colors of the sky

Nothing there to balance what is spinning
I cannot let the phantoms gain control
My pulse quickens as the chaos starts to envelope all the silence
Can't make the pieces come together as a whole...

Life of Extremes
Prime time merry,
and blue depression of nadir,
sun and gloomy dark night,
intelligence with brilliance,
and wooden dud with dead senses,
the fairest of them all,
and the swarthiest,
the softest cushion,
and the hard glint of diamond,
swinging swaying between extremes,
we weep, cry, smile and live the life,
more than you can think,
you adjust to the mood,
and skate on on the life's skating rink....

Premium Member Flabby But Fit
I'm flabby but fit
    At a bar I sit
  I play my guitar
    then squeeze into my car

  I'm dumb but I'm smart
    I buy modern art
then I load up my cart
    to sell at flea mart

  I'm happy but sad
    'cos 2 + 2 I can't add
  Thought I'd reached nadir
    Pop bought me calculator

  I'm old but I'm young
    Come see my tongue
  Taste buds still sprout ~
That's why my tummy sticks out...

Nadir
When melodies are gone
And the cock refuses to crow
When the storms come
And the ship cannot sail
When the streams are dry
And there’s no water to drink
When the clouds are dark
And rain falls ceaselessly
When the pocket goes dry
And hunger comes visiting
When the nights are long
And sleep is gone
When love is lost
And loneliness beckons

In gratitude lies solace
For little gifts of life
Day. Night. Sight. Breath.

Listen To Five Words
Betwixt today and tomorrow;
Is a time of yesterday and today.
From nadir to zenith always loop;
With rivers and birds that swoop.
A strange noise catches my ear;
I become still as I hear.
Each blink of my eye;
Acts as a shutter to my mind.
As the ages roll on by;
I've become somewhat wise.
When life becomes less about you;
The unseen moves and falls;
When the shadow casts on the wall.

Foot Lamp
Father calls me
One of His sons
Shining so bright
Only seen at night
Ruling over darkness
Giving light on earth
Observers call me
A fixed star
A wonder afar
But a nadir
I hide my zenith
The greater Light shines
No glory is mine
Because Father set me
As a point of light
For observers' path
So don't stargaze
Lest receiving His praise
I become another nova

God Stops Tower of Babel
God had with his finest sensors
Picked the edifice and its sponsors,
Then surfaced to have it videoed.
What angels could have Him radioed!

God,all along Himself radar,
Knew what to do to Man's ladder
And bombs can throw to burst bladder...
Bur-no!-He is always father:
Should God not be man's guide rather?

Men should only sparsely gather,
Save in streams with soaps that lather
No exceptions—Blast Men's Cadre!

And so the Tower kissed Nadir......

What Do These Birds Know
WHAT DO THESE BIRDS KNOW ?

Darkest day cold morning
Birds a-twitter in the bare tree
Yesterday they were silent at dawning
What do they see that I don’t see?

Weather is going to have less bite?
Cats have become more tractable?
Just glad to have survived the cold night,
Hoping that today will be passable?

Maybe they know that the days
Have reached their nadir and
It’s all uphill from now on? I gaze
At the tree and try to understand....

The Royal Peasant
His belly full of absinthe
His nervous system writhed
as he looked up to the heavens
cachinnation in his eyes
The juice from plums of damson
trickled down as purple blood
as he fell, the kulak jester
face first flat into the mud
Aromatic orange berries
filled the night right up with spice
whilst the hyalite 'round his finger
sparked itself up to delight
The nadir answered back his laugh
with rain and sleet and hail
as we leave the jester lonely
sleeping in his vinic jail~...
