The Mutinous Fool
soulless patch o’er socket
his trusty parrot on shoulder
red and green molting hues falling
a dead shot hole, smoking
perp impaled by the pirate’s hook

Musical Souls
Words
neat
quiet
mutinous
never go silent.
Words overflow the mind and turn
insentient paper into realms of melodies.
Black and white paper become pianos of unvoiced dreams that summon musical souls....

Blown Off Course
Just as the wind has come about
And it's time to change tack;
There's a new hand on the tiller
Of the mutinous, rudderless boat;
Now doomed to float aimlessly,
Until it arrives at an uncharted port
Its cargo spoiled, wasted, ruined....

Autumn
leaves flutter like butterflies,
dawdle graceful path zigzag
down, down, down beneath trees shade
long deep sighs. Settle and snag
among collaborating blades.
mutinous breeze tendrils rise drag
and sweep away the dry leaves
like wings fly and touch the sky.

Pirates
Their ships must ride
a rolling sky,
masts too high to sail into view.
They appear, board the land,
they buccaneer.
The clamoring mob
fall upon a scuttling prey
pluck the weakest
into hungry holds.
An eye-aye cocked and ready,
they raid and maraud
as only
treasure seekers can.
The gulls are here
and for a while
sea and land broil.
the air erupting
with mutinous calls....

UNSUPPORTED CODE DONNYBROOK
Egregious Nonplus:
A hopeless cause.
Comfortless, lachrymose
A mutinous repause.
Recalcitrant – All love is now absent
From grinding flagitious jaws.
Treasonous laws!
Justice? Just because.
We are allies of chaos.
This lost cause
Is your failure
Your loss,
Not ours.
We are diamonds of the future.
Your antiquated assumptions,
Are just archaic flaws....

Muse - Pleiades M
Mutinous thoughts shunned, else
measured wellspring consumed.
Melodious whispers
motivate me beyond
mediocre and mean*.
May we explore grand dreams;
my hand in yours, my muse.

Untitled 16
My sweet tongue is coiled, prepared to pounce,
ready to be free of those three heavy notes.
The major cadence forms in my chest and
the melody rises: a spectrum of mutinous lyrics,
a crescendo that’s longed to sing from my throat.
They are released from their cage in a discordant chord,
each tuneless, grey syllable tumbling from my mouth.
The raw words widow me three times over,
each ponderous sound confronts your puzzled face
as the tune melts in your silence, dispersing in the pale air....
