Cats For Congress

CATS FOR CONGRESS

Are these politicians just talkers?
Some seem like outright mockers!
Why not cats? How divine!
They can balance fine lines.
Either cats or tight-rope walkers!

The Roles Have Been Reversed

If no strong breeze will oblige
Help those boys, girls
Dare to climb it, what's to twist, pull
Tree, of sweets full.

That role, the hero's playing
Reversed has been!
A leg up, into high office
Success-fruiting's
Now given them! Poor mockers of
Child's life-tasting's!

The Top

I’m alive
The world can see me now
The storms can testify
The wind can attest my weight
The birds are offering their feathers

My strength increased
I have overcome
My mockers sees my victory
My enemies can see my crown

The sky welcomes me greatly
The earth knows I am destine
My position is released
Every giant recognized my worth
Yes! I am place at the top

Failed Candidate

When you an important exam fail,
It’s like you’ve stepped on a nail,
As worrisomely you ail
And seem not a little pale.

At suspected mockers you rail
And at those who would you hail,
For as long as they close to you sail
With scarcely trusted redeeming tale…
You’re a prisoner’s heart beating for a bail
But no consoling news from the mail:
Your harsh father to put you up for sale!

Joy of motherhood

The suckling child does find rest
Upon his mother’s chest
Where else then should he nest,
If not upon her breast?

Though at times odd, he may be a pest
With him she’s still obsessed
By his care she may be stressed
Yet, she still feels greatly blessed

During her prolonged medical quest
As barren she was being addressed
His birth, now welcomed with a fest
Her mockers she now can jest
