a long time ago
mother earth was beauty aglow
near our niger’s banks as top trees
were plain jungle pavements
for jumping squirrels & monkeys
on a long quest for merriments –

Sun shone cheerily when we greeted our new life.
Merriments, not memories lifted lifelong strife.
Immense endearments, as your wife, I bestow.  
Like lavender lilacs laced in loves’ golden glow.
Every kindheartedness liberated pains flow.
Smiles replaced sorrow; together, souls know.
