KIDS AND DOGS
Yap
Yap
Give a Dog a juicy Bone
Daddy is home
You are not alone
Come sit beside my throne
I have written you a Poem
For the companionship you have shown me
My best friend
Sand slipping through her fingers
Of wasted times and jilted lovers
Sat with her spaniel on the porch
Poured herself a nice little scotch
Faithful to each other they were
As a doe and a deer
One man and his dog,
walking for a bob,
teaching the dog to heel,
resisting his masters feel,
taking him back to the field,
to run this poor dog rugged,
he needs a cuddle and a hug,
to make it home to mummy.
If I can return after I'm dead,
What would I be ???,
A bird flying high or a buzzy bee,
A horse good-natured and affectionate,
Mans best friend but what breed,
Or would I be a human again?,
Do we get a second chance????.
Fictional for a prompt:- think outside the box in sixteen words.
Frothing at mouth
Distemper shows itself
Taking over body and mind
Mans best friend
Slowly dies
Please, please, please get your animals/pets vaccinated!
more earthy than a diamond
precious without being pretentious
words like splendid describe
a rubys awe inspiring dimensions
a dime piece set in platinum personality
sapphires, emeralds, and pearls are nice
but rubys are a mans best friend
the most impressive form of ice

When We Took Walks
It Was You Who Ran
You Always Thought It Was All My Land
You Took Such Joy In Everything
I May Be Poor But To You I'm King
You'd Risk Your Life To Protect What's Mine
Take All My Scraps and You Would Dine
My Love For You
Was Easy To Rend
This Is My Valentine
To Man's Best Friend

Top up my cup
Take out the pup
Boundless energy it does have
It cut its foot it needs some salve
Bandaged up he runs around
Yes his energy does abound
He eats like a hog
But he’s a dog
He runs after ball and stick
Does not know which one to pick
He knows when to run and play
And also knows just when to stay
He is my friend for life you know
And never ever wants to go
We all know how rumors bend
But this we know is mans best friend

Silly thoughts are a
mans best friend
How they embarrass
themself without end
Falling all over
themself you see
Leave us all laughing
with glee
Foolish at times how
they speak
Clamoring for some
attention they seek
Leave us to just shake
our heads
When to women the
same line is fed
This was written for Aaliya and
her first year of high school! How
the boys want to try to talk to her
and say the same things to other girls!;)
