Premium Member A Glimpse of Nirvana

A wisp of wind tousled curls

Cloaks the eyes of Madonna

Watch as her beauty unfurls

A brief glimpse of Nirvana

Edvard Munch's work often neurotic
His 'Madonna'* is much more specific
A typical recurring theme
the artist's extrovert dream
art

Madonna

A woman with underarm hair
Decided that she would go bare
She lifted her arms
Revealing her charms
But everyone gagged in despair

The Joy of Birth the Sorrow of Death

I saw the face
of the Madonna weeping
superimposed on the Christmas tree
tears for the joy of Christ's birth
tears for the sorrow of Christ's death.

Strawbewrry Rain

Gentle as a razor,
her words cutting deep
Robbing tomorrow
of yesterday’s sleep
Her voice rising sharply
to greet the new pain
A bleeding Madonna
—in strawberry rain

(Dreamsleep: April, 2022)

Shackled Art

Blue
Divine
Shine
Madonna and Child
Suffocate the Papal decreed
Sowed the seeds
Indoctrinated godly status
Art distorted the power courted
For Church convention
Hidden shackled
Never to tackle
art

Premium Member The Buddha Meets Christmas

While seeking inner peace
the most-hallowed Buddha
heard a chorus of angels
sing Hallelujah.

They weren't singing for him;
t'was for the Child and Madonna,
so he continued on
in his quest for Nirvana.

Premium Member Multi Talented Madonna

Madonna is eclectic, multi-talented too, a humdinger
She has been a producer, a director, actress and singer
Song-writing has come natural as do many other things
She is impressive no matter what direction her ideas bring
Form: Rhyme

Premium Member Praying Mantis

for what is it
she prays
motionless Madonna
rapt in stillness
awaiting the unexpected
mate or meal
slender neck
cleavaged eyes
pious predator
poised on spindle legs

Chastity Is Dead

If I kissed your collarbone
What would your expression give away?
Hip bones are more sensual I suppose—
But Diana was all ankles and wrists.
Arch your back, chaste Aphrodite, the Madonna turns away
Fingers should stay on necks and shoulder blades.

Madonna Louise Ciccone, or simply "Madonna"
Pop matriarch; just don't call her a prima donna

Had popular 80s hits like "Express Yourself" and "Material Girl"
She expressed her sexuality boldly; made watchdog groups churl

Madonna, her stage name
Pop artist, who easily gained fame
Intelligent? Oh, yes!
Acting prowess, dancing finesse.
Multi-talented ballplayer, with acclaim.

To My Dearest Jolly

To My Dearest Jolly

She barks like a lion,
She runs like a cheetah.
But she's my dandelion,
She's a little Madonna.

She stares like a tiger,
She cries like a big wolf.
She's far more than fair,
I love her cute little arf.

Love & Trust,
B.B.

Many have called her a sinner
A few have called her a saint
Doesn’t much matter to her
Ordered to disrupt the status quo
Never one to play by the rules
Nothing the same since we met her

From Medusa To Madonna Part I

Faultless art is ceased in silence
Quite often curious how achieved
Never a month a year ever deep
Stories never apprise as much
Sculptures an paintings score

Medusa a fallen angel's myth
Hue'd by an artists true life
Roaring a cry to let not die
To love water pale Madonna
Gave texture purity an life

Lost in reason and rhyme

Forget me not
be a catcher in the rye,
sizing your eyes
sometimes it was better
climbing alone
The musique changed our lives
yet show me where it came from !
was it the gesture in your smile ?
lost in reason and rhyme
Im steering all over
No backstage pass
was ever intended
but as a plenty Madonna you are spent

Old Velvet Paintings

jesus and elvis in a halo
 of black and green light.

 a pink madonna next to
betty crocker.

 with ronald reagan standing
 stately in his best suite.

 all hanging along the walls
of tattoo parlors and chinese
 dive bars across america.

now it is our heritage as patriots
to protect these last of the
 wandering bisons.

From Medusa To Madonna Just Began Part Ll

Bewitched by Madonna assay to last
The grief once felt was hard to past
And drew her innocence with tone
To never leave a sights inside frawn
For an art no similar exist, will never

Leonardo have loved a prise not any
Hied he to win her, petals never late
Love then sapped his past long greif
Manifested art hence in every belief

Premium Member Blue Madonna

I need to see a certain pueblo blanco,
and go in the white, high church to pray.
They have, by all reports, a blue Madonna.

I will kneel by the blue Madonna,
and pray for all the people - every one.
I'll pray they'll have good fortune in the pueblo;
that their Madonna - blue Madonna,
will see them safely Home.

Madonna

Doctor told ’Congrats Ma’am, you are pregnant.
Tell your husband or lover to rejoice.’
She sighed ‘Me lone, no lover to enchant.’
‘Look at Bethlehem Star: Only choice.’
