Old Velvet Paintings
jesus and elvis in a halo
of black and green light.
a pink madonna next to
betty crocker.
with ronald reagan standing
stately in his best suite.
all hanging along the walls
of tattoo parlors and chinese
dive bars across america.
now it is our heritage as patriots
to protect these last of the
wandering bisons.
