Tightly she holds on
Little pink feet on Wing Tips
May I have this dance
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Music starts to play
White lace, pearls, something blue worn
Dad come dance with me...
in the deepest chamber of my heart love grows
the sun breaks cloudy skies
the moon glows on quiet seas
heartbreak ebbs on distant relationships
and flows gently back over my soul
I dance a dance long forgotten
to music written from inside
"Will you dance with me?"
It was our first dance,
I knew at a glance
That we were meant to be.
"Will you dance with me?"
It was our wedding day,
In his arms I would stay.
His smile was all I could see.
"Will you dance with me?"
We are slower now
But we remember how.
It's our golden anniversary.
arm tight around my waist
as the music starts to play
not an unfamiliar stance
again we start this dance
this time no partner cuts
the ending not abrupt
we complete the dance begun
it doesn't all come undone
we finally get it right
a dance that lasts for life
the steps perfected, not new
my last dance with you
I dont dance alot
and I say please...for me?
You say sure, so here we are
the beat gets fast and it starts.
First a sway and a jump
and the music changes. The
tempo rises and falls. In
our own little bubble, your all I see.
We work up a sweat and we
dance off the dance floor and sit
by the wall deciding just to talk.
"I'm sorry I'm a bad dancer."
Form:
We are experts at the dance of drawing near
And you lift your hand, as though my hand to touch;
I approach this lovely dance with lingering fear,
For I simply cannot swing into this trust.
You are expert at the dance of drawing near,
Yet I fear to take your hand, t'would be too much;
I slide away from the promise of this dance,
With fancy moves I memorize, then enhance.
that hidden place where secrets go
a tiny room only lovers know
latent time where I have no will
a memory that is hard to kill
we dance the dance and sing a tune
off kilter and a bit off key
in the next life maybe we get it right
for a while it served its need
you scratch a heart into a dead tree
initials there for you and me
and if no one is in the forest
are there sound waves when it bleeds
In the Brightness of the Moon’s Shine
May I have the Dance of LOVE with YOU
Together, dance the whole night Through
Until the warmth of Dawn’s Sunshine
Holding YOU tightly in my arms
The Music sways us, to and fro
On clouds we Dance, for those below
I Waltz to YOUR Feminine Charms

Come to my arms and lay, ‘My Love’,
Please grant me this, my boon,
And in your eyes show me that ‘Dove’
Whilst lips sing sirens tune!
You’ll coyly hide your fair, fair breast
Yet nails will dig my skin!
You’ll settle to an Angels rest
Yet dance the Devil in!
Dance fair ye will in moonlit rills
And silvered be your flight,
And dance until gold faint tendrils
Spin web that captures night,
When dawn, shall, on our window break,
And cast her light, on what will wake?
