In the Gloaming

it is not in the gloaming, that I miss you most
but in the early morning hours
when the moon starts to fade
red reaching across the desert sky
once familiar smells wake me
and I pour a cup and reflect
watching today dawn from my patio
in a sweatshirt to prevent early morning chill
yesterday is added to silent storage
a cache that fills

Alone But Not Lonely

I wake up in the morning to find myself alone again.
Only me an empty hallway and the ghost of you.
Old memories fly throught the room, filling the air with a strange sense of company.
Trying to forget i run throught your escence getting to the same starting pint.
Where i once thought happyness was.
I wake up again in the morning of my life.
still alone.
but never lonely again.

Stars That Passed

I wonder if you remember the good times...
A sunlit morning with words and rhymes...
Coffee and juice with strawberries served...
A morning treat and much loved deserved...
Our getaways have drifted to dust....
A past once so clear is tattered with rust....
Memories some good and some bad...
Hope when you think of me the feelings are not sad...
We were two stars that collided that were way to bright...
But there will always be a corner of my heart that still
holds you tight...
