Short black pants with straggling hair
Holding a glass of beer
Laugh loudly, wrist with grasping
Squiring and dancing nightlong
Acid house echoed all over
White shirt foxed a red lips mark
Push desire until maximum peak
Blind choice makes you die
some said Sheila was flighty
they were naysayers and doubters
they did not understand her sparkle
most will never play a tune or laugh loudly
others understood Sheila
appreciated her mercurial winsome ways
enthusiastic about her rhinestone personality
honored to be part of her loving tribe
love exuberantly
because this may be the last hug.

Pulling from a dream,
They shake me wide awake,
I hear the clock chiming,
And daylight starts to break,
I’m finally seeing color,
Seeing hues that are brand new,
Setting my sight on the future,
Watch me see it through,
Why shouldn’t I laugh loudly,
Your shame is not my weight,
I can see the light now,
Now I control my fate.
Been a while! Maybe I still have some ideas up there!

I smile a pretty smile
I laugh loudly from the heart
It’s late at night
When things begin to fall apart
I dance like no one watching
I sing at the top of my lungs
I cry
I’ve got it all, but have no one
The moment is my stage
A wild spirit young at heart
Everyone loves me
Yet my mind is an abstract work of art
I’m tired
It’s too late to feel any shame
It’s all too much
It’s time to leave my pain
As I lie down
I rise above
