Cia
Driven by pure intuition, One last covert mission.
The car is in place, My heart is replaced.
A bit too late, A note seals our fate.
Thunderstorms gather in my brain, I shall never love you again....

In Bed
I’m never one to loll in bed
Unless I’m feeling sick.
A couch or chair would always be
My lounge or reading pick.

At times I’ll do a sofa sprawl
When glued to the TV
But only when I’m ailing is
The bed the place for me.

Of late, a virus and a cold
Have dropped in unannounced
So here I am in bed, my normal
Lounging spots renounced....

Iridescently glowing.
She's breathtaking beauty.
A tiny miracle of a baby.
Born a tad late; a blessing!
Enriching in an instant
Lives she touches; a light!
Lovely and special girl in
Every conceivable way!

Note: "Isabelle" is the name of my new baby girl.

Blanket of Flowers
A blanket of flowers
You place me upon
The scent of orchids
Held in my arms

Looking downward from tower
Your king to my pawn
Flittering of my eyelids
Deceived by your charm.

All consumed by your power
You spike the innocent fawn
Yet I don't see the morbid
As you intend my harm.

If I was to cower
To never see another dawn
Realize to late plans sordid
Entrapped in late a con....

Premium Member She Bean Counts Her Days
She slept in and awoke late, a cardboard pizza is what she ate. Today's agenda, the grocery store, food supplies, an endless chore. Her home as quiet as a tomb. Perhaps she should have slept til noon? For sleep provides a great reprieve, where the mind with dreams can interweave. Her cats provide the synergy, her reason to assert energy. She bean counts the days since being at war and quietly prays there won't be much more....

Love Pass Me By
Tornado seasons turn.
Dusty memories put away-
Only to linger in my brain.
You could move.
Never to remember again,
whilst the pain lingers in my heart.

Still voices and glances,
Near and missed chances,
Gut wrenching thoughts never spoken.

Traversing twin roads-
I pass a minute too late, a minute too soon.
Electric energy glides through the air...
It is too much to bear.

My heart chips…
bits of not and never-
afraid to lose....
