Degrees of Separation
Flash, and cries the jetliner strobe 
that flickered the fraying hem 
of some patron saint of torture's robe. 
Lips cannot kiss the unravel, 
make wishes of the tapestry fade, 
crack degrees of separation stole of travel. 
Unwinding, endless over land lock 
distant prisons evolve the cell 
and we cannot turn back the clock. 
Wait, for night must fall, 
and with it sinks my heart, for instances with you 
would in joyous yield surrender all....
