Miniature Edens. Regularly insular but small hopes can't be everything in poverty. Big brains flee from atrophy.

When the stars align 'tis then the magic unfurls Prophetic moment Insular earthlings challenged Their narrow vision enhanced.

Memory's Black Hole

That vacuum
inside you
once in it
you’re trapped
Insular
nothingness
too late
to look back

What’s empty
imprisons
no reference
in space
Where freedom
and choice
become duly
— erased

Laughing Boy

A laughing boy
he was our own
our one and only own child
so beloved
so serious a child so easily traumatized
so insular and difficult
so beloved
his mother
different and difficult herself
brought him forward
into crazy
and left him.

THE HALCYON TIME
Dust of twilight hour Settles on insular life Introspection time. In days of sunshine You melted in my shadow My halcyon time. You hold my hands now Support remaining journey Embrace till time ends.

Forlorn,help,help my cry.

Hidden Paradise

(Dedicated to Toni Marie Labadie.)

A little Tahiti
in our hearts abides
where you and I
love through the tides

Wherever we go
it's always there
under weeping willow
above solar flare

Yes, life is simpler
when I keep this in view:
My troubles aren't insular
My peace is from you

Premium Member Footprints

Many are insular beings,
attending to egocentric desires.
Strolling on the beach of life.
Footprints washed away.

Some leave prints,
that record their lives,
as if walking on fresh concrete.
Steps of sacrifice, goodness
and compassion for others
as if, they were their own.
Footprints remain.

How See You

There are two sides to a coin

First toss

Masterful
Ingenious
Decisive
Discerning
Liberal
Enterprising

Cautious
Lithe
Astute
Suave
Sensitive

Time to flip to the other side

Muted
Insular
Disdainful
Dubious
Lacking
Envious

Covetous
Lumbering
Artful
Selfish
Shallow

It all depends on how you view it

Insular...

Solid in star-burst
and harbored connection
to mind and to matter
and all things alight

Glass idea shattered
in wrought conversation
impending on tips
of the top of the night

Platinum moon shine
and sing along star songs
to whisk me in circles
'till lucidly spun

Blowing the evening
in wrought conversation
alone in the world
unmistakably one.

OPENING THE MIND'S PETALS
Smoldering life spreads suffocating smoke all over Clouds the insular mind in pessimistic opacity, Beauty unseen beyond the myopic vision unclear Deforms in mind defined by contours of negativity. From the depth of depression it’s time I recover The sunk values of life, appreciate their sanctity. It’s time I leave desolate psychic landscape behind In flowers of a new garden I open petals of my mind.
