Morning’s golden
Dawning
Kisses my wings
As I fly
To the sky
Looking for you
Instead, I found
Half moon
Aloft
Today I saw an open view
A vision clear of life anew
A path of love and kindness true
Today I'm green instead of blue.
Do you have excessive pride?
Sounds to me like suicide!
Humble yourself under God again
Instead of losing you can win!
Form:
won't get ahead
do this instead
of look down
look around
see where your bound
this i won't to mention
PAY ATTENTION
seeking a new view
traveling on country roads
hoping to find what?
instead stumbling upon you
happy for the connection
Jesus was said to have TWELVE disciples,
but did he have any friends?
Maybe if he did, they may have helped him instead.
For strength and wisdom
To meet my best destiny
Instead of mercy,
I know what I've gotta do
It's up to me to stay true
Carl Edward Sagan
who thought he was a pagan
instead of hanging out in bars
he learned to study stars
The Edam's sailing through the air,
and Cheddar skims my head,
I duck to miss the Danish Blue,
but Brie hits me instead.
Anne Boleyn -
what a state she was in!
"If I'd have married another, instead,
I'd be standing before you with my head."
the holy
grail has
been
found
yet
sated
by blood
i'm not
instead a brown
paper bagged
bottle of red
dry wine

'Twas detected in Matt Nagy
a spine that is saggy
Instead of 'steadfast resolve'
x-ray showed 'instant dissolve'
English Poet Stephen Spender
political verse seemed to prefer
Later though a change instead
to the apolitical he was led
instead of just viewing
ingest the words proudly
taste them all -- chewing
when you read aloud-ly
its been very bad
many races sad
because thoses who or mad
now soon
watch the moon
instead
THERE'S
BETTER DAYS AHEAD
If you give away the key to your heart you'll never get out of the cage.
Instead keep the key and set your own heart free.
American Canadian Agnes Martin
about her abstracts where to begin
Art experience as a 'to be'
instead merely a 'look&see'
you want to find love
then give up looking for it
instead, come from it

You pushed me over the cliff’s edge,
eager to watch me fall.
Instead I flew
and you
were never filled
with such regret.
Day Dreamer
She sits in the chair
looking out the window
but she is daydreaming
instead of seeing what is actually there
Ex stalking is never good idea,
Resilient equilibrium.
Hang in Dahab, make Hajj to Medina
Instead of a course of Librium.
Don't despair; God is here
Instead of moaning let us cheer!
Ho who conquers everything
And to death - where is the sting?
Dragons for their keel
Rowing oars instead of wheels
Their ships rock and reel

Need to grieve,
but this makes
everyone else sad.
But I need
to let it out.
And sometimes
instead I get
a little mad.
