inoculate innocence in
children's choirs, our
expectations exceeded, our experiences
string us along, and strangles us subtly

I dared defy the status quo
I declined medical tratment

I would treat it
I would cure it
I would inoculate myself and others 
I would erase it from the world

They're Kicking old lady liberty in the teeth again.
Then demand everything while offering nothing in return.
If America is a broth of systemic racism
then why do people from everywhere risk their lives to get in.
Once they arrive, they want to inoculate us 
with the very things they're fleeing from.
