Enigmatic World
My marmalade eyes
are viscous
lids sticky
gummed up
glazed over
the world is
sometimes imperceptible
sometimes impenetrable
nebulous
opaque in appearance
incomprehensible
indeterminate
indiscernible
enigmatic world
why is your
complexion so
indistinct
today?

there's a slim space

between
the what
  you want to do
and the what
  you have to do...

between
the where
  you want to be
and the where
  you have to be.

a space that widens
   with time
into a chasm.

that dream
that road not taken
  be gradually consumed
by the forest
  obscured
  becoming indiscernible
from the trees.

Here comes the silence.
Shoving its way through the crowd to greet me.
Like a tsunami would greet a stony cliff.
What an impetuous, impertinent lull...
Settling itself on my head like a heavy blanket.

Just unceremonious reverie.
Just silence.
That raucous, deafening silence.
Until the world turns.
Negligibly.
A motion indiscernible.
Except for the sound it makes....

Indiscernible Void
When I lie in bed at night
My mind pulls me away
Turns dark from the bright of day
Into a void that binds me tight.

Strangled by my thoughts
Don't want to be alone
Don't leave me on my own
A rope across my chest tied in a knot.

I can't move an inch
Can't think, only fear
Fear of truths far and near
As the darkness begins to pinch

Once at last I drift afar
From which I hope to never wake
As my mind begins to break
As up above drifts a lone star....

The Sentence
It bled, bled and bled
Profusely.
But no wound was visible.

It cried, cried and cried
Badly.
But no shriek was audible.

It rolled, tossed and crumpled
Hopelessly.
But no movement was discernible.

It felt throttled and choked
But kept quiet.
It moved yet.

The pangs were wrapped
In the cloak of composure
Because it knew
It would live now
With scars,
An ordeal,
Invisible
Inaudible
Indiscernible.

The Unconquerable
Had pronounced
The sentence....
