Indigestible

My heart is a pelican beak.
Opens wide but never sings.
Conceals what the tongue cannot survive.
Drips salt from truths left unchewed.
A pouch tucked with fishbones,
straining to sift the indigestible

Hiraeth

Home, a peaceful state of mind;
Indigestible, impossible to find;
Raging in a retched restlessness,
abstract visions, nothing tangible;
Every echo emerging swallowing me,
taking with it my overturned roots;
How can I find my way home?

Insomnia

What is it about you!
Why can’t you shut your mouth?

What is it about you?
Why can’t you let it out!

What it is about you
Can’t you speak?

What it is about you?
Are you so indiscreet?

That you have to shout!
Bleat!
Pout!

In your excess
Recess
Digress
Abscess?
Indigestible progress!

What is it about you?
Can’t you sleep?

The World In Masquerade Game

In the world

There is not barbed wire fencing of romance,
not sterility of bull story,
not indigestible speech of life

There the independence is as the multiform mind
where changing comes daily
but, as the worsen jaundiced body

There despotic reign
writes by left hand
the forehead of grave
in a little period of masquerade game

Bread of Remorse

Eat thou not the bread of remorse
For its taste is bitter, tough, coarse

Made from many wrong of yesterdays
As it has aged, dried__ changed assays

Replays of when it was just baked
And of those whom heartbreak suffered

From puerile stunts and brainless words
Discords that filled that loaf's innards

Now moldy, indigestible
This bread, remorse......abominable

Carolyn, Mortified

Recipice Precipice
Carolyn Child would be
Mortified watching me
Cooking with joy and glee
Random ingredients
Thrown in a pot!

Hardly comestible
Near-indigestible
Never repeatable
Undefatigable
Principal requisite
Just make it hot!

Not a pure double dactyl, but in the spirit of one…

Julia Carolyn Child is the person, I pronounce Ju-li-a,
but the syllable counter pronounces Jul-ya,
so I went with her middle name.

An Invitation to Dinner

I’d invite you and your wife to dinner
but my wife’s cooking is, well, no winner.
I guarantee that after the first bite
my prediction will kill your appetite
and in short time you’ll be speeding
from your chair to the bathroom heaving.
But if like me you had to sit and eat until
your plate was clean of every morsel
piled on it no matter how distasteful
it appeared or how indigestible,
my advice you’ll find most practical:
wear your running shoes, spare the table.

Intoxication

The secretion of a Lilly is often mistaken for the timbers of a concrete ball. Many a time is the goldfish singing for a curry. Golden gophers gluing glitter. A wolf dancing in a stew of peas is more happy than a porcupine on a rocket powered skateboard.ooooh grammar of framing a drugged frog is as indigestible as spinning around the earth twice after consuming large amounts of beer. Like a tidal wave then. Humming. Humorous isn't it. Turbulent tambourines turning tripe. Intoxication z.
