The Crown
Heaven's surround beyond bound's
devour precious feelings found
in each and every one of us count
liturgies archaic literary sound

Saint Catherine's monastery crown
mysterious trees on sacred ground
heavy mountains impressively bind
th' presence of th' lord around...

Ivy vines made a slow lazy crawl
up the side of the red bricked walls
competing with resilient cobwebs
their pretty ascent protected by spiders

Ivy’s shiny verdant points impressively sharp
making a soundless but dynamic impact
the contrast reminding spectators of holidays
all colleges need a building like this one...

Cogito Ergo Sum Libero
“Destiny” implies a controlling external force - the random positioning of planets in solar orbit, or the mysterious machinations of a spurious spirit in the sky - both impressively improbable and laughably unlikely. Occam’s razor slashes! And free will is the last rational refuge standing... September 14, 2020

Tulip
Her purpose in life is love.
Making people happy,
Bringing great pleasure,
Colouring the world
With pleasing shows,
Her voluptuous shape,
Poses displays,
Exciting minds,
Igniting and kindling,
Explosive creative power,
Impressively
A winner among flowers
Catching the eye of suitors.
Drawing into her blooms
Tulip thirsts for attention
Absorbing energies of passion.

Silence
oppressively descends
in dead depressing despair

And, impressively ascends
in tingling anticipation,
pregnant with delighting participation

Ecstasy itching with silent invitation
bicameral co-passioning revolution

Optimally resilient night through day,
day in night voices,
night to day listening
in tingling resonant silence,
music,
dance,
motion,
emotion,
intention....

Oh Dear One
Oh dear one, for many years we have hurt and hugged.
Brought up the spears of contention and have been mugged.

Could I have been the one to compose your sorrow?
I guess time will tell when we reach that tomorrow.

The premise was so impressively constructed.
Yet like a streetcar that was poorly conducted.

Placed upon a pedestal that was bound to fall.
Oh dear one, how I long for thy spirit to call!

Mother Nature Seen Twice
Snowcapped mountains rise on high
Impressively reaching toward the sky
Puffy white clouds and the spirit lifts
A vision of Mother Nature’s many gifts.

Woodlands lie at the mountains base
Trees and grasses each fill their space
Clumps of tall blades blowing in a breeze
Filling the open space beneath the trees.

And in the still calm water’s surface below
As if Mother Nature’s mirror, it will show
A perfect picture of the reverse reflects
A second image of Mother Nature’s subjects....
