The Prisoners House
Arrested by fear,
   Positioned to become prey,
       The snake takes a jab,
      Paralyzed, immobilized,
       Skillfully demoralized.

The Honey Thief
THICK AND SWEET
LIKE HONEY
YOUR LOVE
DRIPPED UPON ME
COVERED ME
LIKE A NEW SKIN
IMMOBILIZED
I AM ABSORBED
INTO THE WARM AMBER
STICKING LANGUID
IN MY PORES
TO WAIT
FOR MY FAITHFUL BEEKEEPER....

O Africa, Please Stand Still
O Africa, when will you stand still
My fingers are not camera enough
To catch your undulating will
My seascape while the waves were rough
Immobilized, my canvas fill
Me with disgust, I hate dead things
But paint the living without its life
O Africa, please stand still....

Toxic State
Immobilized by trepidation
like a prisoner on the rack
An imagined consternation
From another anxiety attack
Constant state of dissipation
From perceived things I lack
A complete liquidation
Making a weary insomniac
Like a slow and steady ablation
Like a stoic, reserved maniac...

Night Sweats

Startled at night, I awake,
frozen, motionless, immobilized,
eyes straining into the black void,
phantoms darting about me,
springing from every direction,
heart racing, rapidly breathing,

fantasy and fear running amok

Disorder
Anxiety of worries
stresses in life
emotional fears
rigid in perception
patterns unbroken
frozen in movement
from opportunities passed.

Avoiding of participation
sitting on the sidelines
watching in slow motion
the fear of dying
hearts racing fast
in much anticipation
reclusive and isolated
from the world
passing you by
trapped in a prison
that is no lie
immobilized I cry....

Premium Member Cold Nonscape
buried in an
empty apartment
cluttered with
dusty memories
whispering loss/regret

fearing & secretly
wishing for
apocalyptic
obliteration:
absolute
simplification

immobilized
by a frigid
gray/wet
scowling
landscape

going nowhere
groping for hope
hoping for
   a gentle
     slope

as I
spiral
ever faster
into
an indifferent

     black

      hole...

End of Terrorists
Found bloodied and mutilated bodies of
religious extremist murderers

As cadavers they lie beside
unshelled bullets and shells

Now lay dead, frozen with souls taken,
unmoved

Masters,raised them to be butchered,
unspotted

Their kin by birth cursed by the world,
 immobilized

Death gives them punishment,sufferings,
 impartially

World does not fear them rather they prey
themselves...

World abandonment
vanity infests
greed escalates
charity nullified

Competitive paradise
prices uncontrollable
hunger staggering
debt maximized

Honest lost
integrity futile
words misconstrued
greed rapid

Equality vanished
pensions minute
labor intensified
 jobs down sized

World absorbed
humans consumed
profits soar
mortgages abandoned

World immobilized
composure lost
hope desperate
destruction eminent....

Silent Cries, It Kills
Bells and gongs they chime,
along my hours they rhyme,
pallid face, they a deadpan,
outstretched eyes, that deluge began,
deep buried thoughts, along silent patio,
they climb afar, distant hills brow,
frail hopes, play hide and seek,
false they speak, and all seems bleak,
those beating nerves, immobilized in cold,
like a dagger dressed, in fresh shed blood,
carried once again, to that perch of cliff,
her minute felicity, gone in a whiff....

Premium Member She Imprisoned Herself
She thoroughly imprisoned herself at the age of twenty-one.
Putting herself into a dire situation.
Assuring herself there was no way out.
Telling her mind not to bother to escape her predicament.

Her mind readily jumped onto her new hopeless mindset.
Assuring the rest of her body it could shut down.
They were in prison today and would never escape.
Others tried to convince her otherwise, but it did not work.

She was determined to be imprisoned and immobilized.
No one ever knew why....
