Warm Fuzzy Logic

Hocus-pocus, modus ponens,
“Knowledge” boosts your serotonins:
If your case has come unglued,
Wave your hands to save your mood.

Notice Potus Hocus-Pocus

Trump loves polluters and looters
(Targets for NRA shooters)
Whilst we are distracted
Our POTUS enacted

No door opens by itself...
ls a must have the key.

Limerick In Focus

All other than serious verse, bogus;
He doesn’t believe in any hocus- pocus.
Ideals! He’d never drop;
But see the funny flip- flop,
Finally, limerick is his focus.

Unfocused

Is it just me or A.D.D.
Can’t stay on top of things

When the sermon gets long
I mentally write a poem

I must fight to stay focused
Least the devil do hocus pocus

Sanderson Sisters

They waited 300 years to the day
For a virgin’s dumb fingers first to lay
	Upon the dark candle
	And light its black mantle
The witches are back – now there’s Hell to pay

Beware of a Witchs Razorbacks

Hodgepodge of high-brow, hoity-toity happy hogs
Happened upon a wagonload of St Bernard dogs
In a hocus-pocus way they turned them into logs
You do not fool with a witch’s razorbacks in these bogs.

Hocus Pocus

I found a book of ancient spells
It’s hard to read and it smells
I found it at a German bookstore
“My current meal is such a bore,
so this spell I scream and shout
give me a heaping wad of sauerkraut”

Hubble Trouble

HUBBLE TROUBLE

Maybe it’s magic or hocus-pocus
Some kind of spell is cast on me
A telescope in space, who knew
It takes a while to adjust the view
Earth orbit, not yet interplanetary
But images I see are out of focus

Handsome Harry and Hayseed Hank Handle Honey

handsome Harry hastily harnessed hazardous hayseed Hank
heightening his hellish heebie-jeebies.
Hank helped Harry handle hordes of high-spirited hitchhikers
heaping a hodgepodge of hocus pocus on Honey,
Hannibal’s handsomest hog

Hocus Pocus

Looking back the mind can focus
on the mix and match hocus pocus
but the heart alone can see
 the future you and me.

Cenotaph

I caught a draft
In the Cenotaph,
Honoring a dead man
Who was not there

The clergy saw me shiver,
Got me a chair,
The ceremony went on
And I died right there

Well at least I provided
The funeral focus
Although, for years,
There were rumors
Of Hocus-Pocus

Broken records

No need for broken records,
Soon yesterday's news,
We must stay resolved,
To practice our hocus pocus,
For goodness' sake,
Prayers for peace unite,
Champions, reach for the stars,
Building better tomorrows,
To young, we pass the baton,
But still alive and kicking!

Halloween Night

They say it's only
Hocus Pocus but
Halloween is our focus
Haunted house creepy
Ghost what do you
Like the most
Enchanted broomstick
In the mist oh how
I wish October was here
Because anything You
Think of will Appear
The Phantom Is here
To give you a fright
Good night

Not Hocus Pocus

Eerily eager evil enigma elevated eleven renaming egg land.

Meager minis liked their initial idea eggplant ready.

Beefily blatantly weird in a diddly extra wiggly way.

I was ready, reved, relieved and willing my elevated eight.

black anklet twelve will enter evil eggland

Third Eye

I died in my third eye
The moment I became Alive
Administered a Dr's hocus pokus
Blinded by a man made drug
Plugged and buried
In my center
Only awakened by a mistaken
Meditated state
In which colors were vividly flowing
In a space of closed eyes
A quieted Mind
To which my third eye replied

That Day

Our Internets connected that day
Conversations went wild as the wind
Cool, calm and collected
Detached and unaffected
Then you entered.....
Centering your focus
Yes just like magic
Pure hocus-pocus
My precious love I give
To thee
From now until infinity
You rewind my mind to a
Love beyond time

Please Stop

My poetry's boring
My readers are snoring
My scribbling is all about war

My brains are all fuzzled
My thoughts are all muddled
I've never felt this way before

My mind has one focus,
Too much hocus focus
Causing anxiety galore.

There's no denying
I'm constantly sighing,
Please stop. We can't take any more.

Cell Phones

Heads bowed, eyes focused,
The magic of the Hocus Pocus.
Transfixed, in a spell
Nothing else will they dwell.
Walking around zombified
Surely brains, have been fried.
Life ruined, no conversation,
Texting now the inspiration.
Grasp of language, long forgotten,
Shortened text – yuk, it’s rotten,
GR8, LOL, TLC, OMDB,
Worlds gone mad, OMG!!

Signs of Spring

Hocus pocus! Look, a crocus
Poking through the ground!
Weather’s warm so I should focus -
Flowers might be found.

Buds are blooming; I’m assuming
Petals will appear.
Time to stop my indoor Zooming;
Signs of spring are here.

Joggers baring legs and wearing
Shorts and tees or tanks.
Not me yet but I’m preparing
Soon to join their ranks.

Skat's Runaway Train

Out of control and down hill fast
Wondering if this life will be snuffed out at last

Stuck on the rails like an antique car
Bumpity, bumpity jerk, jar

The scenes are going too fast to focus
Was this life just hocus pocus?

Tears won't stop the heavy momentum
Physics are against us, check the sum

Hang on till the end
Another life I must lend.

Media

The media's only thing we like sordelco for the pour
Where alcoves only pair theirselves for hocus pocus bhore
When all who watch heir listen more their cautions for alt time
Wear otius ferries for their trelves of cratious varied core

And take what honor's left in them
to traceous torried gore
When all that's left to face in them
is how or right they horror
