Makita Xxiii

Sharp and branded was the hunger
Thundering within my paunch
guised as the quintessence
spearheaded by life
‘twas the claw cast
from death’s marred teat
Heard within yonder valleys
Whence I sought freedom
Form: Verse

Shapes

The florid footprints of hussies
seeped upon the black rug.
The florid heart of a saint crippled at the
fallow door.
The laughter of a sober count guised the howl
Of a callous whore.
count,
Composed a strangely shaped finger,
count your curses, ---
And Death was the raincoat I wore.
Form: Verse

Framed

Etched emotions carved
upon wood stained slats
channels of putrid odors
behind polyurethaned glass
its stench guised by colorful hues

a dark laminated soul
dangles from a plastered wall
framed within a once proud tree
where emptiness once stood
now hangs my sanity.......

let imagination fly
      to..
exits of the ordinary;
  let ambiguity cry
      where..
hides the paradox;
   let enigma lie
      unsaid..
'guised in masquerade;
   let euphony whisper
      breaths..
of symphony;
   let assonance
      slow..
yet,not dwell;
   let my verse
      show..
        but never tell

Listen to poem:
In whirl and twirl we waltz around
feeling guised and chastised
raising brick laden walls

Going ‘bout our daily business
foiled and desensitized
plagued by the veil of apathy

Once spring arrives and the sun shines bright
amazing how a walk in nature
can revive those dormant sluggish feelings

 “I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something." Crash, 2004

Halloween Moon

Halloween Moon Crabs

A tide rises to leave behind hundreds of tossed colourful halloween moon crabs to stroll

Craving social connections like homeless souls furtively hunting their unsown roots

Celtic calendar hides matronly lunar freeing guised children and bodiless souls

Five more years for the halloween moon, till then crabby purple claws in orange suits
