Partial Celebrity
I’ve seen a rosy-cheeked nobody
who was a star far more i
n her thrill at the chance met moment
than the jaded celebrity
who grimaced to give her autograph again....

Wishes
I have written words that say I am happy
And words that say I am sad
Some words have no meaning
Except to those who had

Felt the same things that I felt
Grimaced through the pain
Smiled when they were over,
And wished away the Bad....

Yuck
When Mother Eagle returned with her wormy swag
Each of the eaglets grimaced and gagged
"Eat that slimy thing?
You've got to be kidding!
We'll wait and see what Dad bagged!"

Premium Member Hidden Beauty
Plastic surgery does not come free,
I earned the lines life etched on me.
I have frowned, laughed, smiled, grimaced,
Have all put character on my face.

My grey hair and fading eyes,
Are truly me,
I've no disguise,
Or need to hide.
I hope my beauty lives inside....

Premium Member Lashes Fair
Fragile bars of jet black, frame, reclaim
fallen foe ‘pon fair cheek tamed.
The scratch and sting of those misplaced
whilst rubbing palm on grimaced face
Upturned emphasis of souls delight,
caressed by tongue kisses in candlelight,
protector of twin orbs rare
shadow of all solar glare
eye lashes....

You Alone
Once an unborn beauty,
But now born,
Once an unknown feelings,
But now known,
Expressing my deep feelings,
Its cool to say rosy flowers,
Are nice mere seeing you smile,
A picture of U makes me grimaced,
Amased like waoh!! What a beauty queen,
Its U alone I feel for,
I love U cos U re one best tin I live for....

The Stones Watch
Splintered light adourns the grimaced sky
Below stone golems bow in reverance
Timeless relics reaching from earth driven binds
To touch the prismed light in flight
Silent stones that whisper
like children in the corn
Praising the light that died with time
and slowly cradles the chiselled tears
of natures bitter end...

Premium Member He
He wriggled and squirmed,
Like a demented worm.
Fidgeted and fumbled,
Grimaced and grumbled,
He jiggled and jived,
Contorted and writhed,
Kept saying Arrr,
Like a wasp in a jar.
He was out of control,
This poor wretched soul,
As he reached fever pitch,
He found the itch,
Which he scratched until,
His body stayed still....

Winner's Badge
Margin was short,
minute and hair breadthed,
he smiled outwardly,
and inwardly grimaced,
hid the inner pain,
and buttered the whole main,
His lordship came forward,
quite ingratiated,
waving hands,
he conjured an ace,
of his grace,
which now began to race,
lordship had obliged,
had the margin hedged,
he came out with a winner's badge....

Premium Member In Grimaced Glee
You wait
In chortled glee
Time’s ticking toll
Sharpening itself
‘neath your dark robe

And I
Poor fool
Fear not your sting
As naught is left
But tatters
Of past now’s

And you
Life’s dark companion
Have counted every step
Held sway
Lest I falter
Seasoned my errors
With adrenal angst

I wait
In grimaced glee
Enshrouded
In an endless
Thinning veil
Awaiting
...

The Widow
Her sour smile, like unsweetened lemonade,
Made its way to me through the crowd.
I grimaced and groaned, ungrateful of her sickly sweet and fake kindness.
Miles of memories of our time together...
The sunrises and sunsets, like a field of flowers in the fading sky...
She left me alone, like Helen for Paris.

My heart went pitter-patter as we passed in the halls.
I'm afraid of being hurt again.
She is nothing but
a black widow for me....

The Letter
Walking barefoot on the noon shore
Oblivious of the combers
With their new metal detectors
Her head bowed low as if in prayer;
But at a closer look we see
That she is holding a letter.
Her grimaced face stared long at it;
Then dropped it on the glistening
Wet sand and stood there a moment
As the returning salty wave
Washed over its ink scripted words-
Words now lost forever in time.
Its message known only to her
And the blue eternalness sea....
