Premium Member No Value

There is no value in working hard.
Is this not the great deception?
Money is as good as gold,
it has equal value;
Everything is fine,
first world problems
are nothing;
We can’t
lose.

As Good As Gold

A-im is as good as gold,
M-ove on toward your dream;
I-mmeasurable joy is like
E-ndless flow of the stream.

A-llow your arms to reach,
L-et your both hands hold;
O-n the fifteenth of September,
G-low is as good as gold.

Simple Cliches

Testing the waters
of this undeserved fame.

As this life as we know it,
really isn't much more than a game.

Theres nothing left to lose.
No more to soon gain.

What you bring to the table,
isn't much to many.

And if silence is as good as gold.
Look forword to what your future can hold.

Mr. Ollie used a tall scaffold
It was rickety and kind of old.
He had to fix walls which had black mold.
Cousin Jeff offered to hold.
Scaffolding so it would not fold.
Mr. Ollie said it was good as gold.
Forgetting he had an awful cold.
Sneeze knocked him off, big and bold.
Dead on the floor for days I’m told.
Doubt if house will ever be sold

Shalia

she was here and now she,s gone
but she left me strength to carry on
her wisdom and strength i will always see
i fell her spirit all around me
she guides me though each brand new day
her words of wisdom
i will always say
she,s always here in my heart
although this life she had to depart
a different world
a different life
where there is no stress and strife
shes good as gold
a friend to me
and in my heart she will always be

As Good as Gold

I buy myself the gift of you
Giving to me each happiness new
When i see what eyes have treasured
With in my heart I give great measure
With deep feeling I dare invest
To save my joy and happiness
Each encounter again of interest
Even your change fills my treasure chest
How rich I've become with you in my life
I gather the crumbs of you with delight
The richest man on earth if you were my wife
The heaven I would claim after living a good life

DO AS YOUR TOLD!

No ifs,no buts or whys or hows,
mum says just do as your told.
But why? I'll try if that's your cry.
Well I don't want you catching a cold.

Catch a cold, do as I'm told
with no ifs or buts as you say.
At six years old I'm as good as gold
if that's why and how I should play.

If mum.

No!

But mum.

No!

Why mum.

No!

How am I going to say
I'll not catch a cold, I'll do as I'm told
and I'll stay in the house all day.

Her Words

At times when life is hard,
Her words can help me through.
She held me close and said,
‘My boy, I’m proud of you.’

It’s been so long and yet,
My memory’s as clear.
I hear her tender voice
And see her face so dear.

My Gran was loved so much,
Her heart as good as gold.
I stoop and touch her name,
But granite’s hard and cold.

Her grave is grey and still,
Between the elm and yew.
I leave a rose and say,
‘And I was proud of you.’

The aura here
Feels good as gold --
Warm and sincere,
New joys from old.

The message sums
The place and time
Where kind outcomes
Mingled fond chimes.

The way of joy
Found kin and kind
In play and ploy
In touch divine.

Fond love sincere
Found tact and fact
In sacred spheres
To live fond acts.

As we leave now,
"Thank you" we pray
For grand endow,
For happy days.

We lived our tale
With gracious stay;
Happy endings pale,
Fond blessings stay.
