Elohiym 430 Psalms 110

Jahovah (3068) said to Adon (113)
"Sit at My right hand, till I make
Your ememies your footstool."
Adonay (136) is at your right hand.

Wonderful But Weird

I have my coffee now and
sit upon
a chair that gives me comfort;
have TV,
a roaring fire, and footstool,
and myself.
So perfect, I find it odd —
oh, so weird.

Earth

Endless stretches of the heavens
Across the stars, galaxies and eternal voids
Realms of gods, angels, spirits and venerated ancestors,
Thus says the LORD:
Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool.

Epilogue To Summer Storm

Mercurial splendor; earth, sky the
props
Sunlight glints through
effervescent drops
Fluorescent beams glisten through
glowing treetops
O'er grassy plain, steel girder slides
and hops
Colorful symphony earth's
footstool for heaven's grandeur
swaps
An arcing prism of neon across the
horizon crops

It's Time To Rest

It's time to rest
and put my feet
on this footstool:
God will stand up
and work wonders...
do I deserve them?

It's time to rest
to feel at peace
with myself and be
assured I am bound
for a great victory!

It's time to rest
and let all the worries
and anxieties be His;
it's a peaceful sunset,
and I can lay down...
not fearing darkness!

Christmas Mantel De Rigueur

Blue velvet blanket mantel dresses
Satin lace trim daintily caresses
On border, golden twine tresses
Azure light-display luminesces
In background, silver candelabra recesses
In foreground, satin Lilies rimmed with lush cresses
Overarching, marble angel with copper harp blesses
Underpinning, tidy Spruce wreath butresses
Footstool, bronze crèche a penitent tone expresses

The Running Game

The Running Game

I must run,
Not to have fun,
But to let my day unfold,
Maybe I can make some fun,
Maybe I can make someone smile,
Maybe I can lend a hand,
Maybe I can make someone glad he is alive,
Maybe I can make someone see their worth,
Maybe I can hold God's hand,
Maybe I can make an indentation on someone's heart.
So they can happily walk on God's footstool.

Batman

Wearing a dishtowel around his shoulders as a cape
This gleeful child claiming to be Batman
Jumping off the footstool,
Leaping around the room,
Determined to save the world

Now grown, a world of worries of his own,
The enemy is a mighty foe

A furrow in the brow of youth
A childhood world he must let go

When the world contrives to knock you down,
who will rescue you?

Let's Worship

O come, let us worship the Lord;
Kneeling down before him,
Let us bow down in worship,
For he is our maker and God.

Worship Him all you His people,
The sheep of His hand,
Let us listen to His voice,
And do His bidding to us.

O worship the Lord,
In the beauty of holiness.
Let us fear before Him,
All you the whole,earth.

Worship Him all you gods,
Exalt the Lord our God,
Worship at His footstool,
For He alone is Holy.

Jumping off the footstool,
Leaping around the room,
Determined to save the world

Had to grow up
A world of worries of his own,
The enemy is a mighty foe

There's always a furrow in the brow of youth
A childhood world he must let go

When the world contrives to knock you down,
who will come to rescue you?

Unstoppable

UNSTOPPABLE

Angst of the world
Stretching and pulling
Pounding with fury
Like stampeding elephants
Like snatching crocodiles
Tarzan is not the hero of this story
God looks down upon his footstool
We are like feathers to be plucked
He lets us fight the air we breathe
He let our world quench his last breath
Resuscitation exploded the theory of evolution
The big bang created an unstoppable movement
Our march toward Christ

Something Ordinary

The cat sat on the footstool.
The curtains hang closed.
The toothbrush holder contains two brushes
The cat stretches, jumps down, miaows at the door.
The moon is full
Bush freshens the air
Cat jumps through the doorway
Streetlight illuminates the pathway
Toothbrushes chatter
Water rushes by
Cat softly taps his paws on the glass door
Runs inside, warmth
Lights out
Moving sleepily
Cats eyes wide awake
Piano plays Chopins Noctourne Opus 27 no 2

Time For Muted Lights

When the plastic kitchen chairs
begin to crack
and the fabric on the footstool
shows its stuffing,
when the sink begins to list
like a sinking boat

pulling away from its mooring
when the breasts begin to go
and the skin under your chin hangs loose
and in the mirror you see
the wrinkles around the eyes

grow and deepen
when you feel like an aged courtesan
undressing in front of him

you know it's time for muted lights
in the collapsing house of your life
