Premium Member screechy airplanes daily

grating sky noises
elongated screechy scream
clamoring airplane

destroying silence
threatening my peace of mind
in flight path daily

Springtime

Early Springtime actioning frantic flight path
Busy sparrows congregate nesting builders
Hedgerow rustling, twittering noises concur
Heralding new life

A Perfect Place

Destiny star
Taking me
Underneath
Your white wings
Leading me
On through
This sparkling
Night
In The Serengeti
Your flight path
Leading me on
To a perfect
Place on
The other side of
The ancient sun

Old girlfriends, my dad’s drifting down that path,
Into death valley as my mom seethes wrath.
The old man’s gone crazy.
His mind sharp, not lazy.
Mom’s dried the dishes. Dad’s in the flight path.

Aftermath

like a lightning flash
I release my wrath
a storm is about to come
what I can't get back
after that first lash
is going to leave me numb
you were in the flight path
and the fatal aftermath
will cause us to succumb

Premium Member I thought it would be a smaller plane

I live in the flight path of fifty to one hundred planes a day
Very rarely do my dogs look up now
They think it is normal for the sky to sound like a 747
Today was an exception
We all looked up
A plane sounded like she needed a muffler
I thought it would be a small plane
It was a 747
I was terrified until it cleared my home

Premium Member Winter's Bite

Geese follow a southern flight path, fearing Winter's a psychopath; and honk as they flee Her wrath. Autumn's buried without a trace, while Winter whiteouts set the pace; and icy winds slap my face. I feel the sting of Winter's bite, lying low in Her gown of white; lashing out with all Her might. A femme fatale, a heart of ice, Winter is anything but nice; She always levies a price.
