Crash go the fenders
Smash goes the car
Shattered, the windows
Hey, we broke par!...

Winter
Winter
Old man winter back again
Dinged fenders, frozen pipes
Frozen toes, stolen breaths
Old man winter laughs again
Wet floors, mismatched gloves
Soaking boots, frozen doors
Old man winter strikes again...

I do not know?
Stick Figures in Front of Oldsmobile
Skinny kids
Wrinkled clothes
Crooked windows
Non-symmetrical
Snowman slightly off center
The “Olds”
Wrinkled fenders
A round-headed driver
A teetering toboggan
Hanging from its roof
The artists
Sipping hot cocoa

Transformation
That's my mom
Foot on running board
Big, black,1937 Caddy
Huge headlights
Spare tires in fenders
Cigarette in hand
Stylishly dressed
Turban and flowing pants
Big smile

50's drab house dress
Cigarette in hand
Expressionless
My mom

Hammering out the dents.
Checking for a spark.
Watching the gauges.
Listening for a hum or a ping.
Polishing the fenders.
Perfuming the interior.
I would rev up the engine, but I
wait 'til someone turns me on....

The Cowboy Car
Jolly rancher bought a car with no wheels,
with no tranny, no fenders, and no seals
he has prepared horsepower
and the platform was a dour
but he just couldn't reject the cowboy deals!
