Life After Death

I am living proof of life after death. Weakened and not yet at full power, My heart beats in a quieter rhythm than when you were alive. I have been making the necessary repairs. Hammering out the dents. Checking for a spark. Watching the gauges. Listening for a hum or a ping. Polishing the fenders. Perfuming the interior. I would rev up the engine, but I wait 'til someone turns me on.
