admiration

Comment toucher une fleur
et la faire éclore
en la pénétrant du regard
jusqu'à ce qu'elle s'épanouisse
sous le sceptre de ton regard

Tailspin

To faire du genoux in Paris
They mounted a wheel called Ferris
A few times around
Without touching ground
And her eyes shone like Polaris

Premium Member Dog of the Day

A wise judge at the Kern County Fair—
unbiased and quite debonair
chose a mangy old stray
as the dog of the day
because she had the most savior faire

Artists who paint with passion and flair
That slap on colours that do not run
Because they do it with Savoir Faire
It brings pleasure and is great fun.

A Question of Balance

Reality occasionally hallucinates,
      poetry almost always enchants
our art is to balance the extremes,
so that we compile the finer results

Laissez Faire

Words…
  the great currency
  inside my literary account

Inspiration,
  the letters of credit
   —freeing me to spend

(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2015)

Venetian blinds shuttered
Vivacious lust a fix
Veins throb crimson allure
Visceral dread repels
Victorian specter
Vexing savoir-faire lure
Vampire's bloodletting

Laissez Faire Laissez Passer

Give me a break! Shall you?
You say that you are free in free society
While your liberty is stolen!
By that freedom, so, let it be
Let them do as they will
Let them enjoy their marginal utility
Or leave it alone.

Odd Socks

Why do socks seem to disappear?
 I can’t find a matching pair!
Not wanting to develop a syndrome
When anyone comments on my odd flair,
I retort with apparent savoir faire:
Yes I’ve another pair jus’ like’em at ‘ome!

Premium Member Ginger-Bred Boy

A redheaded stepchild, he lacked savoir faire; seems all that he did brought his parents despair. He made them some gingerbread, did so with flair. Just for spite, he included some bits of his hair.

Butterfly

Open up
I say to thee
obey the voice
of destiny

partake you now
of natures faire
come taste the fragrance
in the air

awaken
out of long remiss
lay aside thy chrysalis

open up
I beg of thee
open....
open sesame!
Form: Ode

Come and think it over

your not welcome as a fool
leave it to laissez faire
You not guilty playing up
culpable in other words
we all rejoin someday
A surrender in other words
Try and be cool
think it over
before you leave
after you understand

Your Neck

Economics is a matter of interest
in the market of stagnation
lets forward laissez faire
we are not gullible

Man steps on live railway track
watch his leather hoof
wild horses conveyed
anatomically decompartized

Joyeux Noel La Famille

C'est bien le temps de vous faire rire
Coeur entier
Vous l'avez semé
Vos anges gardiens
Ils vous reviennent
La neige tomber
Au bout du nez
Pour s'amuser
Et bien chanter
Avec l'amour
Dieu nous entour
Jésus vous délivre
La joie de vivre

The poet, bright, sat upon his comfy chair.

He was peacock proud of his savoir fare!

Maiden Faire

Maiden faire, thy soule should bare within thy bosom cherish
Your love for me, so it shall be, without it I doth perish
From thy sweet lips and fingertips let your love swirl about me
Without your soule, love takes its tolle, and I shall never doubt thee

Amsterdam vibrant with
Bells of red trams and blue bikes
Canals sparkling night lights
Delft facades rising tall and slim in misty air
Energy of never sleeping coffeeshops of laissez-faire life

She has a certain savoir-faire;
always clever with the cleaver.
Young leveret wants to believe her,
follows signs for trim of hare.

Too old, her title to recoup,
waits patient at the barbershop,
then takes a little off the top;
a tortoise makes delightful soup.

Aeronaught

Discussing together, faire play
We sustain the living
The position of hews
The generation of does
Succession of woes, Stonehenge
Phoenix, of the United Hacking Ass
Returns, flying clearly, fairly, disbussing
We fly this far
We fly with a Cinquento
With a purpose, but half the man of Aeronaught.
