Dupliter-Iuppiter deus est ante deum hodie deus cras deum exspecto

Aliquando laeto gaudio, quibusdam noctibus rubris, quibusdam caeruleis, circumvolabo, ut micantes pluviae radii caloris per viam diffundantur.

Alea Jacta Est the Die Is Cast

Alea jacta est !
           What Will be ?
           hate or love
           Nation united
           brotherhood
             Democracy
                  or
             Trumpcracy

Duo Cum Faciunt Idem, Non Est Idem

Duo cum faciunt idem, non est idem

Quando duas pessoas
fazem o mesmo,
não é o mesmo.

A originalidade
é indispensável;
caso contrário,
o que se faz não combina
com o que se é.

Minor Plus Est

Happy is he
who is content with the least
Whose hunger is sated
in famine he feasts

Happy is he
who begins at the end
And ends at the beginning
—his fortune to bend

'moins Est Plus'

The crux
of a theory
 is in what
it rules out
Clearing
the runways
narrowing
doubt
With the ballast
tossed over
all clouds
disappear
Obstacles
moved …
solutions
are near

De Gustibus Non Est Disputandum

In matters of painting and food,
your taste and mine are just
as good.

Picasso..................hot taco
broccoli..................Leonardo

Coerce others we never should;
to each his want, to each
his mood!

Caecilius Est In Forum

Caecilius est in forum
eyes closed as he spoke
looking as old, ash covered
as the language he was teaching
clinging on, barely, the class
drifting beyond windows
and tennis courts
what became of Caecilius
what became beyond windows

Jacta Alea Est

Jacta Alea Est

By Gary L Thomas

A box with six sides
And pips on each
Taunts me to action
Don't want to crap-out now.
\But it's way too late for ponderance.
The bottle's been uncorked
The brew lies in my belly beaming:
Gotcha' again.

The three most famous words

The three most famous words

“Let Freedom Ring”

The three most famous words

Verum Tamen---Verum Est

The Self, Free Will, and Love…
  today’s three illusions of life

Without just one our lives negate,
  a charlatan’s delight

For the Self to Love most Freely,
  this Holy Trinity must preside

What Plato ordained and Kant reframed
—modern thought tries most to hide

(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2019)

C Est Comme Ca Qu Il M a Dit

c'est comme ça qu'il m'a dit

écris exactement
comme je te conseille
haut et fort
clairement
que même le vent le comprenne
souffleur fou
qui dit la parole
quand il la dit
et laisse la terre livrée à elle-même
qu’elle tremble
en entendant tes paroles
c’est bon signe
que tu t’es fait obéir

Mon raison d'être Your face is more beautiful than the Eiffel Tower at sunrise Our amour seemed real, n’est-ce pas? When I first saw you, I sensed déjà vu Your Mona Lisa smile made me wonder Is she a femme fatale? But when you kicked my shins, I knew that I had made a faux pas I’ll keep my distance from l'objet d'art

Dignum Et Iustum Est

“Dignum et iustum est.!”

“Dignum et iustum est.!”
Na vida e nos negócios,
Somos todas as pessoas
dum formidável dinamismo.

Todo o universo
e a própria vida,
Deve queimar
com todo a força,

Todas as luzes,
devem
riscar com todos os relâmpagos,
em todas as direções!

“Sursum corda!”
Erguei as almas!
Toda a Matéria é força,
“Sursum corda!”

Grita
Urra
Explode
vence, quebra,
strondeia, sacode,!

Viva, rompe e vença!

The Free-Est Form of Transportation

Veil of snow impeding my desire,
I trudge in spite of you;
I trudge because of you,
my legs knee deep in ice.

Frigid wind conspiring to obstruct my path,
I trudge despite you,
I travel through you
and my body heat will survive you.

Hopelessly wandering the barren ice,
seeking a reprise.
I am cold, I will surmise;
yet I shall overcome the pain
to achieve my destination;

...because public transportation
should be free and the free-est of them all is walking.
