Ethereal Morning
Seasonal precipice
eErie haze, becalm water
elongating obscurity
Binded
promisingly adorned cirrus
tinged fuscia, luster
Ascending radience
captivating
Still

Bagheera - the Black Cat
Black softness nestles in his sheen so fab as warm purrs vibrate his feline aura Gash-like, a red neck-sash swings a gleaming heart-shaped pendant, swaying a dangled flash. Ebon stretches as the midnight creature elongating his compacted frame, lithe. Reaching, he uncurls a bounding jaguar awake to the moon’s abracadabra

Triple Time
Time’s scorched peach, spread syrupy soft
rolling thick then thin its umber, gossamer
Inside a dome gone silent, beating bacchii
pulsated a slow awakening like oozing sap
lazily rolling as a veil unfurls its edged curl
Elongating silken strands, etching in drape…

Time lays on rocky curves and water’s flat
Its lurid rays painless, whisper “Shh, it’s I!”
Mesmerized, all still to be charred in “Om”
Eventide then swallows silhouettes, whole…

Giant
As shadows elongating round ~
change shapes appearing in among.
So witness sparkles with astound,
and seeks to operate its bond.
Thus restless tithe creates the shun ~
      and giant of the morning,
            . . . is the Sun!

That callings short of everyone,
and yet belonging in abound.
To hear not, or implant begun
in herald's sport refuse, impound!
The echo's loss is God's re-run ~
     yet giant of the mourning,
           . . . is in His Son!...

She Loved Horses
An awe of cavernous heartbeats
turned her features equine.

Listening to wind-hollowed chests,
she heard the shape of her life,
the blowing of tubular organs
elongating her face,
into sculptured snorts.

I liked her snagged toothiness.
the linkage of her broad scapulars,
deeply tooled and studded,
a back ready to be saddled by labor,
hitched to days of hay and manure.

When she laughed, hooves stomped
into green rubber
a ponytail swinging from her grey mane....
