Davey Crockett
Davey Crockett
Moved to Texas to fill up his pocket
But how could he know
They would get huffy at the Alamo

Premium Member On Your Visit To Mars
Three times higher on Mars you can jump,

which is great, but you'll sure be a grump

if you visit the spot

so incredibly hot

that the sun, when it's close, roasts your rump!

Earth
(an acrostic Tanka)

Emeralds, rubies,
And sapphires once buried in
Rocky crevices
Thanklessly ripped from Mother -
Her trampled heart beats bleakly.

Summer
School is out,
It's time for them to let us out.

I can sleep till eight,
And stay up late.

You can take me fishing at one,
And take me home when I'm done.

I'll work for a day,
But you'll have to pay.

Summer is finally here,
I've been waiting all year.

Shipwrecked Fool
I am a shipwrecked fool don't you know
battered by the ocean of you
how could I let myself sink so deep
where the depth of you will forever be my keep

later down the road, they'll find my bones
next to the chest of Davey Jones
hand in grip, heart adrift
a shipwrecked fool with nothing left...

Deviled Eggs, and Other Sinister Food
Eggs Benedict Arnold?
Crown Roast from a King?
Shepperd's Pie?
For this he's died?
Pie Alamo?
Does Davey Crockett know?
Stewed tomatoes?
Just who got them drunk?
Limberger cheese?
Our aviator hero stunk?
We seem to find ourselves,
Eating some weird stuff,
Don't you think it's time....
To say we've had enough?...

A Sea Shanty
You spit your salty spite at me
Like I'm all who's ever err'd
A few times before, I've swam at sea
I don't jump in unprepared
So watch your kegs and cannonballs
'Fore another goes around
For I have broken masts and walls
Still yet have never drowned
Hung up when Davey Jones' called
And laughed at the tolling bell's sound...

Jersey Shores Her Johnnie Quest
Bright tides timberland her eyes...
His Davey Crocket, calling from high atop
Time's ridge as she dancing with their wolves
Wine of wild raspberries red dripping from her lips
Boy, searching for love's lost child ? Over it's mountains
Past this snow jungle fever where spirits flow and, such passion
Seaside swirls her beauty's baby girl; nature's pearl Jane's, addiction....

For Ive the map ye see
Ill set ye adrift in a leaky skiff
And food for fish ye'll be

Me chest be filled wi diamonds
And rubies, pearls and such

Premium Member Pirate of the Sea
He sailed the seven seas
said just let our ship be
we'll drink our ale and rum
sail until our days are done

We drank barrels and barrels of rum
drank until sick and our bodies done
poison now running in our veins
drunken we did not get up again

Over time we became a pile of bones
Davey Jones locker now called home
once a pirate on the seven sea
all the drinking was the death of me.

Aimless
Every rodeo must have a clown
every king his fool.
But, a ship or boat has
got to have rudder
to steer it on its course.

Lost at sea, I drift aimless
carried by wave and wind
I gave up on the captains log and
sent the compass and sextant
straight down to Davey jones

I watch the wheel
in it's meaningless spin
I plot a course no more
and I contemplate my fate
and remember cowboys and kings....

Premium Member Tree Frogs In Water
Fresh water the requisite for frogs
Hydration for their eggs
They sing as precipitation falls
And swim with those legs

High pitched croaks invigorate
Their desire, leave some awake
Crystallization of chlorine
Only helps the cycle break

Pool water impermeable
When those slimy eggs float
Precipitation pleasantries
Washed away by that note

Promised her the next time I was in
I would be the heavyweight champion of the world

The Westward Wind
The Westward Wind

The westward wind whistled,
As it whisked wildly pass,
Weeping willow trees.

Weary eyed women watched,
As winters wayward wrath,
Wreaked havoc through its breeze.

Waffling warm winds weaving,
As wounded workers,
Walked, the winding path.

Wailing Whippoorwills whispered,
Welcoming words of warmth,
From the westward winds aftermath!

Ballad of war
If circumstance glimmer
   to peace
   it may glimmer to war
   and not the least something
    so may be indifferent.
The world is so much shapening:
   A little less is pieceful
and a little less is like waw?.
  Who will mis store his/her
   pepper assuming before the
   market davey?.
Or fail to harnesse let say tomatoo
    even though amidst damn.
  Should we not keep our
    feelings and passions robust
   and glee however?....
