Echoes ripple on the lake
and reflect its guardian slopes.
From ridge to ridge
creviced faces slip to scree.
Shadows crawl from
dawn to dusk
as the sun
plays hide and seek,
and basin rivers run
their course where
memories never sleep...
For sadness screams in a chasm
Tears hidden in a creviced stare
Prayers praise a doubted God
Words sting a shrinking soul
Death itself will mourn
For those who can’t
A cold sunrise
Will darken time
Its shadow
A lost sunset

The mountains crumble under the mist
Loss with taloned finger tips hangs
from the creviced wrinkled faces of the lost
Mouths are bent
in unshown emotion
Loneliness stretches over each eye
holding tear at bay
all the words i never used
and those i never say
buried in the grave of yesterday
Moonlight blushed as passion heightened
Hormones raged in aged bodies
Tongues spoke the language of moans
Fingers roamed across wrinkled plateaus
and into deep creviced valleys
Flesh was heated, engorged with anticipation...
We did not go gently into that good night
Morning found us entwined, weary and sated.
Lust
The insatiable fires of sight
Singeing your flesh
Savoring your aching cries
She’ll whisper ecstasy
Succulent and nigh
Love
Pooling in creviced night
Suckled and smeared
Pulsating with every drop
She’s tasted your conviction
Serrated and wrought
Fate
Dried pungent hues
Immutable and imbued
Morning withered with dread
Silence speaks
Your marriage is dead
Piercing blue ices through freezing blood within
Liquid fused molecules of daiquiri bathed in sin
Shattered cracks creviced black caverns of the beast
Rattled, bruised dampened fuse ignites when deceased
Hollow past poisons gas choking the thin air
Empty Souls swallowed whole white pupils blink the stare
Salted meat frozen beef hooked up Into a stiff
Cooked the stew the boiling you dying your last gift
