a battalion of human resource
to replace the dead and lazy...

Don't be fooled by the smile of a crocodile
Who appears to be happy to meet you.
For though his grin is beguiling,
In his head he's compiling
Various ways he is planning to eat you.
A croc's disposition is hard to predict,
It's quixotic and largely a moot case.
The main thing he most often worries about,
And what keeps him for poachers upon the lookout,
Is becoming a handbag or suitcase....

Shadow dancing about
Times dark mastermind
Of sand felled memory
No deliberation granted
On the adequacy of crime
Here the confidence breaks
The vibrant glow dulls
This slow compiling of theft
His character torn away
The sum of his being lessened
Accomplishments sponged away
Slowly losing earned identity
Burning one chapter every day
A life story without its voice...

One of his favorite moments
in all the memories he’s compiling
is when he walks in the early morning
and it seems, to him, the moon is smiling.

He’s amazed how the moon’s smile
from way up there in space
can travel in an instant
and land upon his face.

He believes there’s something magical
in the way the moon shares her smile with such ease…
and for the rest of the day he’s inspired to share that smile
with everyone he sees....

Reminiscent in shadows of yesteryear
Elusive like these dreams tempting me
As if i were to follow them through their enigma
Towards the echoes of night's faint beat

Every pulse moves you closer to me
Shadowing the existence of mind's thoughts
Compiling them from your soul's lyric
Amidst the whispered words of this arcana
Prompting me to follow in the abyss of sleep
Escaping these dreams i no longer foresee

One can choose to fill that page
with typeset; unchanging script
of repetitive laments,
or pen something different.

Your story does not have to
continue yesterday's lines;
end that chapter, and start one
filled with possibilities.

When compiling life's journal
each verse gets written by you,
as for the consequences;
well, that's what we call living....

Distrusting defiant diligence
