Cloud Crying
In your footsteps,
Feet-bottoms cleated with thorns
Stirring emotions of pain
As they jab into the clouds' backs
Beneath the feet on your selfish body
Burning with pressurous threat
Commencing the clouds to cry tears that fall
Hence, soaking me wet....

A new poem -
Let me revel in its newness

Happy Day of Birth
Dear dead properties, L-o-L
Now back to earth and for what it’s worth
A new year is a laudable blessing commencing rebirth
Advance in life and don’t come back, kidding
Just don’t retreat or look back
Sweet sixteen I’m glad you’re that
On your back, me support thou sat
Feliz cumpleaños, and good luck

Premium Member Me
I met a man called Truth,
And truth was what he wanted,
But I gave none to him.

I met a man called Love,
And he called out for me,
But I, as always, failed.

I met a man called Drunk.
AT LAST!
We both had wine together.

Premium Member The Telephone
Light is fading
over the blackened bay
and Judy calls
without anything to say

I hear her voice
talking of prices
while the light fades
even more over the bay

Now bay is dark,
and Judy says goodbye
The telephone sits humbly,
waiting for tomorrow

Premium Member The Poignancy of Boyhood
There is a poignancy in boyhood...
The high voice, and ineptitude,
The yearning to be free of mother's strings;
The awkwardness of age fifteen, to wit
A boyish sullenness.

There are some things lost when manhood gained -
And mothers cry on thinking.

Premium Member White Mittens
Fog came early to Nebraska,
and slender churches became hidden.
Pastors came out of them with scarves,
their children tight-dressed
                       and with white mittens.

Cars moved slowly,
dipped beams constant; the radio turned on.
The fog came early - unawares.

Premium Member Viv Knows
My vivier is rich in fish
and is at the bottom
of my garden.
I go down there to see the fish.

I go to see my bright goldfish
that swim inside the vivier.
You won't see them in the river
or in any old wild place.

I like to feed the goldfish
that swim in the vivier.
I love the fish in vivier.
Viv knows I do.

Premium Member The Yew Trees
The yew trees
Were like staid old ladies in green skirts.
They lined the way to the church door.

Like the staid old ladies,
They did not bow when the fancy vicar
Walked the path, or asked him how he was.

Like the ladies they were proud,
And all brown leaves from fancy trees
Annoyed him, just like they.

But we boated.
