I Still Love Him
When I was younger-
He loved me
Years cauterized me
Pictures found,
I am reminded of his face....

A Blender Nearly Chopped Off All Of My Fingers
I cut my finger
to the bone
and cauterized the
wound with
melted chocolate.

I rather enjoy
the taste of
pain.

Broken soldiers
Splintered dreams
Huddled
The horror of now
Haunted
By the horrors of then
Scarred, sutured,
But as yet
Un-cauterized
Wounds
Forever bleeding
Into their present...

Spring
Chlorophyll,
dissected hearts,
painfully
realized.
Atom bomb,
broken glass,

cauterized....

Premium Member Blinded By the Sight
Eyes wide
Lids pinned
Loss of skin

Rise

Skies
All seeing eyes
Umbilical ties

Rise

Disperse
Immerse
Uncompromised

Rise

Engulf
Expelled
Cauterized

Fall

Ego all
So small
Recall

Fall

Eyes wide
lids pinned
Fall in....

Binding Cognate
Hex jam in zinc plated steel on our fingers
wound 'till the skin broke in edges and splinters
Promised to bind any rust eye or fissure
cauterized smoking of thus
We are the cogs in the wheels at ignition
fluid in motion except indecision
Bliss like a novel in last stage revision
Unusual vehicle: "Us"....

Old Flame
Not knowing she were alive or dead,
I kept her memory sedated
in the three-walled room.

Now I hear she is alive
(though a little arthritic),
and living in Sussex with four cats.

Of course the affair now must cease,
the fantasy cauterized.

I won’t, after all these years,
visit her.

I may write a letter,
with a promise to call one day,
but she will not be there anymore
and nor will I....

There was a man, made of stone
shaped into a storm
under heavy stunted autumn plume
both he and I were born

we sit together, burning sky
whispers old and cracked
our beating hearts, atom sharp
haunted tesseract

we slant towards the falling sun
through opaque slats of light
marble skin smoking cold
cradles into night

and though our eyes are cauterized
glazed with fire and death
the bleeding sea, veritably
feeds our lifeless breath
...
