off machinations' idiosyncratic delusions,

A role it would seem I was made for.
I ventured off script and silenced my critics
By drinking them under the table.

Classically trained in the tavern arts,
I’m a boozy, bibulous sot.
A virtuoso of chugging a tankard,
A maestro of downing a shot.

I've been typecast as a barfly.
It's the same old morality play.

She set her goal to snog

With lecherous intentions
she stalks me ‘cross the floor
until she finally pins me
against the bathroom door!

Her boozy breath assails me.
I very nearly swoon!
Her scarlet nails impale me.
I realize I’m doomed!

The darting of her tongue
leaves me in a daze.
Her kiss, so thick with rum,
I better get a raise!

The label I hid on the wine bottle
said cheap, boozy, available, needy
it was easily seen in reddened eyes

They told me of the psycho cats demise
eerie boardwalk creaks near the white sand beach
laying flowers on her vintage guitar

Pouring the last of the wine in the sand
had she succumbed to the dark allure of
sabbatical dreams after quarantine

Young Sally’s on the town with friend Kurt
'Let the weekend be GIN’s' on her shirt
They both hit the bottle
Drink gin at full throttle
Both plastered, boozy heads will sure hurt

Sal’s stomach is gurgling and churning
Wide awake, she’s tossing and turning
Noise drills into her brain
Kurt’s snoring like a train 
For shut-eye poor Sally’s now yearning!
